Hey Everyone, I am new to the board. My husband and I are going to Disney World at the end of August. He isn't the hugest Disney fan so we will probably only go to Disney 2-3 days. I heard it is a slow time and hotel prices should be rock bottom but am having a hard time finding a good deal. Any suggestions? Also, what else is there to do besides Sea World, Universal, and Busch Gardens, for a guy that doesn't really like theme parks or beaches.
Thanks,
Lise

Hello....Welcome to Dis! party:

As for suggestions, have you tried the entertainment card?

Go to mousesavers.com and sign up for their newsletter - she usually has some great deals there.

I'm sure others have great ideas as well....Have fun planning!

Hi there

Are you CAA members? You might find a discount that way. You could rent points from a DVC member and stay at one of the gorgeous DVC resorts and he would enjoy that for sure if he likes to relax on his vacations. There are literally thousands of things and places to stay around disney or off property if you'd like. There is also sky auction where you can get some reallly awesome deals. Best of luck and don't be afraid to ask questions here. We all need answers to questions and usually someone has it here. :)

Two words: SHUTTLE LAUNCH!!!!

There is one on August 28th. My hubby is so excited!!! :cool1:

There is also the Richard Petty Driving Experience at WDW. Very expensive, but fun I am sure.

Parasailing, renting the mini speedboats....so much to do, so little time!!

Welcome by the way!

With the racing theme there are go karts, gatorland, air boat rides, many diferent kinds of boats, water parks, rent Harleys my husband loved this.

You should find this site very helpful. How long are you planning to stay. Disney has the free dining at the end of August. It may be something to look into if your looking for a value vacation. We are going in Sept and for my family of 3 it is going to cost $1502.00 for 8 nights including hotel, tickets and food.

We are diriving from the GTA. We should be able to do the whole trip for under $2500.00.

Againg Welcome!

Marcy
