I live in North Carolna. I'm planning a summer trip to Disney. I definitely am up for saving money. Last time I went we stayed at a friend's place for free but this time we have to pay to stay somewhere.

There will be 4 of us going. We are thinking Disney/Epcot for two days, Universal for 1 and maybe Sea World for 1.

What ways can I save money?

Where are the best places to stay? Is it better and cheaper to stay on site.

Thanks for the help.

It's my first time down to disney world myself, but in your situation you may want to find a place off site to stay that is located in the middle of all of these attractions since you are planning only 2 days at Epcot and then hitting non-disney parks for one day each. I'm not sure what kind of budget you have in mind, but this is all I can think of since the hotel stay, tickets and food are the big ticket items. I believe I read on mousesavers.com you can get non-disney hotels really cheap in the area at priceline.com. You may also want to try a travel agent. I'm sure they can help with other parks and so forth and not just disney world theme parks. I used Magical Travel and have been working with Denise and absolutely love her! I've not been disappointed at all thus far. She's responsive and it's one of the few agencies that have a phone number and doesn't require e-mail/web communication only. I'm stickler to be able to hear a voice and not just read an e-mail - not to offend anyone out there that use other agencies with huge success. It's just a preference. Check out their website at www.*************.com. Their number is on their website. It's worth a shot!

Staying on-site is better but not necessarily cheaper. How many people will be in your party? How many children? What ages? What kinds of things are you wanting to save money on? More information is needed to be able to help you with your questions. The people on these boards are great and will help you with all kinds of money saving ways. :earsgirl:

Hi!
Suggest you find a detailed map of the WDW Resort Property and a map of Orlando which includes Seaworld and Universal, If you can get a hold of a AAA Guide and MAP of the area, if not try this site and mousesaver.com, I use tripadvisor.com where hotels deals and maps of the resorts are helpful.
