new to board - intro

Hi everyone,

I am new to the board today and I thought that I would tell you a little about me. I am 32 yrs old and have two sons and a wonderful husband. my boys are 8 and 2. I am lucky enough to be a stay at home mom. Scrapbooking has been part of my life since my first son and I saw it on QVC. I was hooked with that first Creative Memories party my sister in law had.

Actually scrapbooking is very important to my health. I have bipolar disorder and one of the things that I need to watch for is depression. Well, when I stop scrapping I know that I am headed for a posiable episode of depression because I have lost interest in one of my favorite things to do.

I just signed up for the bazzill swatch swap and am very exicited about it. One of my lss closed and the other is closing. All that leaves me with is Michaels and ACMoore. This way I can order online if I need to and know what I am ordering.

Well, gotta go put the little one to bed. More later.

Welcome aboard Trish!!!

We're about the same age, I'll be 35 in Nov and I have 4 kids, 3 boys and a girl. I'm a NAHM (never at home mom). the kids keep me hopping, as do the boards.

I think Scrapping is like therapy. And the girls here are great too. We lift each other up when someone gets down. Everyone here is absolutely wonderful!

Sorry your LSS's are closing. We lost 1 so far this year, it makes me sad that they can't compete with the big box stores. That was the reason I started the bazzill swatch swap, I need to find alternatives for cardstock suppliers in case more stores close.

I can't wait to get to know you better!

All our 3 of our LSS closed within the last year. I shop on trips - Orlando still has several nice stores, plus the fab mousememories.com.

My adopted grand daughter has bi polar. It's good you have that early warning.

Hi, trish, welcome aboard. I use scrapping as my therapy too. I have a special needs child. She loves looking at her albums, and often uses them as one of her forms of communication. (pec)

I have to agree, this is a great group of friends on here and so amazingly clever! The talent you will see when you swap with us will blow you away!

I know Buffy told you, but we have the top part of the board with crafts, cooking and such, but if you scroll down, it's the living room, where we post other stuff too, like upcoming vacas, things that make you go GRRRR, diet threads...stuff like that... Lots of people don't see it when they first find us...

So, jump in, watch for interest threads on the swap boards, and look at the calendar too, it will tell you what is upcoming. Buffy is our Swap Goddess and the Keeper of the Calendar, and the swap hostesses are just THE BEST EVER

I live in Savannah Ga. land of no winter and no snow pics I don't like snow but love all of the winter layouts I see.
