Hi,
I'm new to all this so plz bare with me. going to mk in december with 5 1/2 year old granddaughter. staying at all star movies. any tips?

Welcome! You'll find tons of helpful tips and advice. My first tips would be to read these boards and make your ADR's if you plan on dining at table service. Enjoy!

Welcome you'll have great fun!

Please walk around Movies i find it is a must to walk around all the hotel.
Look for hidden Mickeys they are fun to find!

see you round

Welcome to the Dis!You'll find everything you need to know on these boards.
[If it's a question about Disney someone will know the answer].Most of all have fun.
Hope you and your granddaughter will have a great trip :thumbsup2
Lyndon.

Are you only going to MK? My advice would be to try to get to some of the other parks too, and have lots of fun.

Welcome to Dis! :wave2: You should rent disney movies for your DGD to get familiar with the disney characters, don't forget the older ones. Get to the parks at opening time and come back to your resort mid-day for rest and swimming and go back to parks in the afternoon or evening. Plan your meals ahead of time, some weeks in DEC. can get busy. You may also want to pick up The unofficial guide to WDW. It is my favorite guide book. Have fun Planning. :bounce:

Welcome to the DIS!! What dates are you going?

This is the "BEST" place to help you with your upcoming trip. Dining plans, park plans...it helps out so much. My DH thinks I am crazy  for being on this board all the time. :surfweb: Well after our trip to the world in April, he said it was all worth it (all the time I was on the computer). I am very OCD when it comes to my planning. :wave2:

Welcome! You definately made a great choice in joining the Dis! Everyone here is very helpful! Have a great trip!

Welcome to DIS. You will learn alot and have fun! Since you only listed yourself and your DGD on the trip I would make certain to plan at least one character meal so she can see her favorite Disney character. If you choose CRT (Cinderella's Royal Table) I would make ADRs as soon as your visit to WDW is 180 days out. It is the only ADR, excluding the dinner shows that requires payment at the time of reservation. Check out the web sites of www.allearsnet.com and get the Unofficial Guide to WDW or Passporter to WDW.

We had a great time two years ago because of all I learned on this board, now I'm planning another trip and this was the first place I turned for help in planning this one.

Have fun!
