New Terminal at Niagara Falls NY Airport

Yesterday we travelled to Niagara Falls NY for some Christmas shopping and while driving to the post office to mail some letters we came across a new Motel 6 under construction as well as a new Holiday Inn Express. I wondered why they would be building 2 nice new motels out so far from the outlet mall but I soon realized why. They are building a new terminal at the Niagara Falls Airport and I noticed that the sign at the entrance says "Niagara Falls International Airport"...not sure if that sign was there before or not. We also noticed signs for terminal parking etc. I'm sure the two new motels are going to do a great business once the airport opens. I'm hoping for flights to Orlando...while Buffalo is close, Niagara Falls is closer!!!! The sign said the new terminal was to open in summer 2009.

Yes...I saw that a few weeks back.Its just too bad that there really only is one commercial company flying out of there (Directair) and it goes to Fort Myers and Myrtle Beach. Who knows,maybe the airport will attract new airlines and more destinations if the demand is there.
