New "term" for pre-teen girls I heard yesterday...

Thanks Scarletto I have to say people seem to get quite uptight about things on these boards not a problem as everyone is entitled to their opinions and feelings after all the world would be really boring if we all thought the same way and felt the same way.

So you're basically saying that if you dress your daughter like a hoochie mama at age 7, that increases her chances of getting a good job?

I like the little flame thrower smiley that is good. Pyg Me is some one I really do not worry about he is always in everyones face or she as it may be. Scarletto the Pat Tillman thing of fool or hero I do not think he was a fool but he shouldn't be seen as a hero for giving up an NFL career like the post expressed I give him cudos for going as I know I never would have but he in not a hero for leaving football to go. Had the question been asked differently like say will he bee seen as a hero for going and putting his life on the line for our country then the answer is a big YES as all soldiers are that go and fight for thier country they are commended for it. Ps. I did not mean our country as in yours and mine as I am not from the US just to clarify that before it gets misconstrued J/K.

That's the way I read it Snoopy, although he did say he thinks a good job is in the mall, I believe.

Wrong discussion, we're discussing you dressing your 7 year old like a hoochie momma on this board.

As a sales clerk no less!

Sorry gymnasticsmom I was commenting on something said to me by Scarletto as for the good job in the mall I would ask you to re read my posts I have never said anything about it. As a teen working in a mall is a great job.

If a sales clerk at the mall is a good job, what is a lousy job? Hmmm..I'll have to think that one over. Maybe we can go ask some kids that aren't dressed like hoochies where they work. My goals for my children have been so completely wrong all this time, I had no idea. My daughter just turned 8 on Wednesday, maybe I'll take her shopping at the latest greatest 8 year old hoochie store. I think it's called Abercrombie.

I'd much rather see someone working as a sales clerk than living on welfare.

There's nothing wrong with working in a department store or a fast food place.

People do what they have to do in order to support themselves.

I know plenty of adults that work in department stores. They are happy, the children are happy and well taken care of. What's so bad about that?

I have absolutely zero problem with someone working as a sales clerk. I just haven't seen too many thong wearing, belly showing salesclerks, thats all, and wonder why DSNY FN came to the equation that dressing his daughter as such would land her a job and give her some sort of advantage over other people.

I wonder the same thing. I don't see anything wrong, at all, with working in a department store. I just don't get why he thinks dressing his 7!! year old daughter in belly shirts is going to help her get a 'great' job, like working the 'sales floor'. That makes no sense at all.

I never said it would land her a better job but it sure does help in getting people better jobs. As for a salesperson being a meanial degrading job as skiwee1 seems to think they are who would she talk to or he when they need a new car or a new fridge or furniture etc. Or who would she use to advertise in the phonebook or newspaper etc those are all salespeople. Alot of them make very good money to.

Dan you are to funny I like your cheersmiley. When are you going to be at Disney next it was nice meeting you @ the OKW meet in Dec.

What helps getting a better job? Do you honestly, truly, think that if 2 girls went into a job interview and one of them is dressed nicely and the other is dressed like a hoochie, the hoochie is going to get the job? I think you have a very skewed idea of what is right and wrong. I also think if that is what you are telling your 7 year old, you are giving her a very bad impression of what is important. I'd rather teach my daughter to dress with class and use her brains to get ahead.

I know for a fact if I was looking for a new car or a new refridgerator, I would talk to the person who looked like a professional, not a person who looks like a 'professional'.

A better job where? Working for Heidi Fleiss???

In my world, salespeople in department stores are dressed pretty conservatively.

It happens all the time I do not mean go to an interview wearing low rise jeans and short shirts. If you have 2 women or men go in to an interview say the 2 women are equally qualified and one dressed very well but a little more conservative and the other one dressed with a little more showing so to speak alot of time the one that dresses a little more sexy gets the job. Or as is the case with men you have 2 guys go in 1 a little overweight but dressed nice and the other well built and dressed to show off his body shape etc who usually get offered the position. Usually not always the one that is more appealing to the eyes. Is it right maybe not but it does happen. Take for example the cast from Survivor how many of the lets say pretty people have jobs in the public eye that are attractive and dressed for the people to see their bodies like say Colby he is doing commercials now tell me his looks didn't get him there it does happen all over the place.
