Just tried a bunch of dates on expedia and none are available with this rate- maybe tomorrow??
The rates are listed when you click on deals, free dining... then lists that info

so I am thinking maybe they just updated the text on expedia specials page and it will be available tomorrow??

I have a room only with pin booked thru disney but would like to add tix and dining too. Hopefully we can.

Of course my balance was due today @ AAA and I told my TA I'll probably be calling her in a day or 2 with the GP code to have her adjust it through Disney....... looks like hopefully it'll be tomorrow that I call! Here's hoping

I spoke with 3 different cm's this morning and no one knows anything about it. They even put me on hold to ask guest service and nothing. Anyone have any luck booking it on Expedia? I wasn't able to. When I chose the dates for the offer it brought up regular rates

I spoke with a cm this morning, and he said that there were no specials as of now. Also, when I try to book with Expedia, nothing is available. I wonder what is going on.

Is Expedia doing a "bait and switch" thing? It seems as though they are then listing a number of other hotels with rooms since the Disney one you want isn't available. Maybe I'll give them a call and find out.

I called Expedia this morning and got the most clueless representative. I have a feeling that they jumped the gun on the offer, but she did start asking me if there was anywhere else in the area I would like to stay since my dates weren't avl or not what was listed. (AKL listed for $149, came up at $225). I'm hoping it's that Disney's codes are coming out soon!

My fingers & ugly toes are crossed.

If so it will only save me $20/night at the Poly but we are staying 8 nights so that is better then nothing. I have a AAA rate right now for there. So off rack rate it would be a bit more.

And I am still hoping my dh gets an email or a post card since he got one for the May promotion & another one for June/July via email.

Man I am soooo good. I totally called the next discount prices on another thread. I said $104 or $109 for the mods and $69 for values.

I'm sure this is the general public code that will be coming out in the next day or so.

what is the tax rate on hotels? I am trying to figure out what the price will be with taxes....I am currently booked at POR with AAA discount for $134.11 per night including taxes. I hope this is a better price.

ETA ~ never mind I found it. At 12.5% tax I would be saving $11.49 per night over my AAA reservation. It's not much but I'll take it. For the four nights we have room only booked, it will be almost $50 which we can apply towards our spending while we're there! Every little bit helps!

I'm under the impression they get some kind of incentive - definitely the ability to keep their job for one - for phone bookings.

We alreadt have reservations form 7/31 -8/9 at POp. If the code come out, can I get the discount for part of the days??

Those rates seem pretty similar to the ones that were available last year. DH and I went in early August. And we booked through WDW with the same rate (Expedia had the rates last summer too).

The discount code will now work. I just changed our Pop room only reservation for 8/12 through 8/17 to Caribbean Beach (yes, I know the pool is under construction). We had Pop for $82 per night, now we have CBR for $109 (both are plus tax). There was no discount available at Pop for the dates of my stay.

As to the person asking about getting the discount for part of their stay, if it is available at your resort, they would two reservations. There is a risk that you'd have to move, but if you remind them that you have a continuing reservation when you first check in, you'll probably be fine.
