New Soarin as good or better then the original, or is it just different?

It's different.... We liked it but we felt like many others in that the CGI and the sudden transitions made us long for the old version. When we rode it the first time we were on the far right side of the theater and we saw that bend in the buildings, it throws off the whole feeling of Soarin'. The second time we were in the middle, it was much better. We did enjoy the new smells but missed the old ones. I think we will always miss the original but we will continue to ride this at least once a trip.

I agree that where you ride on Soarin' makes a huge difference. We rode twice in a row on our last trip and the first time we were in the front row in the center. It was awesome. The next time it was on the side in the second row. Still enjoyable, but the angle and the feet (oh, the feet ) can diminish ride enjoyment. Why not just put a little more space between the rows?
