We are going to Disney this September and are all very excited. This is our first trip ever for my husband and I. We are bringing our 4 yr old daughter for her first experience. We booked our stay at Port Orleans Riverside and chose the new Royal Rooms. Has anyone stayed in one yet? How was it? What number buildings are the rooms located in the resort? Are there some on every floor or based in a certain area of the building? I am curious about where we will be when I am looking at a resort map. Any advice on this resort would be greatly helpful since I am a Disney newbie.

We just got back from there last week, you daughter will love the room. Make sure you hit the buttons on the sides of the bed at the same time. You'll understand when you do it.

All the RR's are in Parterre Place and Oak Manor. They are in the entire building.

You can find pictures on the POR Thread or on portorleans.org. Both are maintained by the same person.

My friend just returned and raved about the room. Said even the shower was great!

We stayed there back in March and we were in the Oak Manor, it is a great location. 5 minutes or less to everything, FC, pool or main bldg. The movies are shown in the grassy courtyard of Oak Manor, there is a quiet pool right between Oak Manor and Parterre Place. Our family really like to walk around the resort and enjoy the theming of the resort. Our DD's LOVED the RGR and everynight the last thing we did was to watch the headboard fireworks. The photo in our signature is from the RGRprincess:
