is there a" no rope", rope drop now? A new system that I don't know about? Anyone know about this?

The last few I went to, they let people go. Far less pushing and shoving. :thumbsup2

From what I've read, the past few weeks DHS has been allowing people into DHS as early as 8:30 on some days, cutting down some of the TSM madness.

I read somewhere earlier that they are letting people in through the turnstiles rather than "bullpening" them into the entrance of DHS. This should help break up that rush...hopefully. But, I have no experience, this is strictly what I've read.

We did DHS last weekend, we arrived just before 8:30 am in time for them to open the turnstiles. We rushed in expecting to be corraled but were not. I can tell you having participated in the running of the tourists on the way to TSM, this was a much better system. More importantly it was SAFER!! Nobody being trampled or pushed to the ground, no massive line ups at the fast pass kiosks.

I hope they keep this opening style at the Studios, it made for a much more pleasant start to our day!!

I was in Walt Disney World January 4-9 and I didn't experience any rope drop ceremonies when I was there! I was let in at 8:30am at DHS on January 5. While on my Keys to the Kingdom Tour, I did hear the normal rope drop ceremony while I was on Main Street.
