New Resort, New Plans?!
an April 2016 PTR (lots of tentative plans, but a LOT of planning!)

Hello, hello, hello! My names Julia (you can call me Jules) and this is my first ever PTR!! Woo! :cool1: My Mom and I are in the midst of planning our next trip to Walt Disney World. Our tentative plans are to stay from April 9th to the 14th at Animal Kingdom Lodge - but it's around 130 days away so we've still got a lot of time, and a lot of work!

Before I get into more details, allow me to do some introductions!!

These are the gals of the family! We'll go from left to right - on the left you'll see my Mom, whose name is Kelly and who is an active Disboarder, too, but I think I'll just call her Mom. She's an avid lover of all things Disney, the first flame in the fire of my Disney passion. :yay: Honestly I really wanted to do those 'favorites' lists for everyone, but I think I'm going to save those for the trip report itself. :)

In the middle is me! :simba: I'm 15 years old, a freshman in high school, and the tallest girl in the family. I'm a photographer (in the making, I suppose) and even though this is my 14th? 15th? Disney trip, this is the first time I'll be going with the skills and experience of a photographer. So excited!

On the right is my older sister, Maddie. She's 16 years old, member of our high school color guard, lover of all things music, player of around five instruments, and the best artist on the entire planet. She's a huge lover of Disney, but more about the visit than the planning, I think.

Here's my Mom and Dad - and since we already covered my Mom, we'll talk about the Dad! Lover of sports, all things green, Disney movies, and days at the pool, he's really excited to be heading back to Disney too!

(I should have also mentioned that all of the above photos were taken on our second ride on the Disney Wonder. :rolleyes1)

So that's everyone! We've got three furbabies back at home - two Australian Sheppard/Border Collie mixes and a baby Great Dane.

On a more Disney-ish note, here are all of our plans so far:

April 9th - Afternoon/Evening Flight, first night at (hopefully) AKL
April 10th - Hollywood Studios w/ lunch at Sci-Fi
April 11th - Animal Kingdom w/ brunch at Tusker House
April 12th - Epcot
April 13th - Magic Kingdom (likely w/ lunch or dinner at Beast's castle.) ((Also our first trip with MK at the end? :scratchin)
April 14th - Late Checkout, day at Downtown Disney (we refuse to call it Disney Springs ) and dinner at T-Rex

Then it'll be back home for us!!

So, that's pretty much it! We've got 130 days until our dates role around, and we haven't booked anything yet, and we're not really feeling any pressure to. Right now, we're deciding between two potential options - one, simply staying at AKL with standard view those dates, or possibly renting some DVC points and staying at some villas. I'm hoping mostly for AKL since we haven't stayed before, but staying at any villas at a deluxe resort would just be so AWESOME!!

I'll probably update once in a while with decisions that we make, and I'm kind of crossing my fingers that time flies. I am more than ready for our next trip!

I hope some of you stick around through the journey, and I hope to make some new friends!!
:disrocks:

Joining in!:wave2: Going a little later than you, May 17th - 25th, but also staying at AKL! We stayed there last year and loved it, but now are trying to decide if we want to keep our AKL club level or go over to the Boardwalk club level.

Can't wait to hear if you book AKL or go with DVC!

Welcome aboard!!

Yay for more visits to AKL! I would love to stay Club Level one day, it just sounds so relaxing and care-free! And we stayed at the Boardwalk one night for a split stay a few years back, and just everything about it was gorgeous - the room was really modern and had beautifully huge windows, we had the Boardwalk to explore as we pleased. All around a great trip!

Thanks so much! Obviously our plans are kind of being thrown back and forth every day, but knowing how much we love planning it shouldn't be too long until we finalize things. :cool1:
