New Resort Incentives/First Crack?

Did resale owners get the same incentive or initial ability to purchase at Riviera as Direct owners? I have no idea if I'd be in this boat or not, but I really like the look at location of Riviera but the high cost per point without the initial incentives, plus the major restrictions if I were to purchase it resale probably put me in the "won't buy" category. But lets say Reflections info comes out and I fall in love, could I purchase a "cheap" contract resale and get the same current owner incentives?

Not exactly sure what you are asking. To Disney, a buyer is a buyer. Incentives have been based on the number of points one wants to buy.

To date, Disney has not offered purchase incentives based on how a member may have acquired his/her current contracts. I really do not expect them to ever start.

Yes, they don't get to that level of differentiation. But it's also not like there's some giant incentives given to existing owners over new buyers either. That's varied resort to resort over the years. There's also nothing that says they have to do anything at all for any owner when they start selling a resort. They could decide to start sales for everyone all at once with the same incentives.

As stated in this case, an owner is an owner.

However, they may or may not offer any developer incentives with Reflections. @KAT4DISNEY has it right on the money.

Also, while the incentives are nice (when offered) I do not think they are worth buying a resale contract just to get them. In the past, it seems like it TENDS to be current owners get first crack and like a 5$ per point discount, for presales.
