New resale purchase and expiring banked points??

Hi, I have a friend who is just about to complete a resale purchase and her contract will have some banked points that expire at end of March.

She is in the UK, and has no chance of travelling over to WDW before then. Other than renting her points out, is there anything she can do with them??

I thought I remember reading (although of course I can't find it now!!) that you could transfer points out to RCI (or whatever its called!!) which extended their life. Or have I totally misunderstood???

Sorry to be a pain, just trying to see if she had any other options!!

I think trading those points to RCI may be an option although I have never done this with our points. They can also see if another DVC member is looking for a transfer in of points - - once the transfer is done the receiving member handles any reservation made with the points so it is not like renting out points to someone where the owner of the points needs to be concerned with making the reservation the person wants, etc.
