New refillable mugs for 2009?

Has anyone heard what the 2009 mugs will be? Since the YOAMD will be over soon, they should have a new design for the beginning of the year...right?

Sounds silly but one of my great memories from my trip to CR with my husband in 2005 was getting coffee before we left the hotel in our refillable mugs and drinking it on the bus ride to the parks or on the walk to MK. Such a fun and relaxing way to start the morning, especially knowing when you got off the bus you were in for a day of fun.

My family and I began collecting mugs about twenty years ago, starting with CBR {forever mug}, then adding All Star {both movies and music}, Pop Century, AKL, WL,SSR, BCV, and YOMD. We'll be at WDW January 2 so I'm curious as to what the new ones will look like.

I hope they are new when we go the last week of Jan. I used to enjoy collecting them when they were for each specific resort. I wish they still did that.

That sounds nice! It is something I am going to start with my family too. This will be our first family trip with our girls so I am so excited about it! What a great tradition!!

I thought they still did . When did it change ? So that means (technically) you could take your mug to other resorts and use it because there is nothing specified saying what resort you are staying at ?

That's what we were told by the CM at the WL in September. All of the resorts (that we saw) had the YOMD refillable mug - there were 3 different tops (black, silver, blue) that just made it easier to tell them apart for your family (I had silver, DH had black).

Unfortunately they stopped producing the mugs for each specific resort. I hope they start doing it that way again, one could only wish.

I really like my resort-specific mugs too. We use them a lot here in our house. If they are going to continue with the year-theme-specific mugs, though, my wish would be for 4 different color covers! There's 4 of us and I had to double up a color with my son. Good thing I brought my magic markers when we went so we wouldn't get confused!
