New push to retheme more Disney rides (Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan)

Jungle cruise is so boring. The kids don’t get it. I’m all for a revision. My YDD told her boat captain that she didn’t laugh because you’re jokes aren’t funny!’ 🤣

Im with you on this one. Nostalgia and history are great things but Jungle Cruise IS A BORING RIDE. My kids hate when I force them to ride it. It could benefit greatly from an update. And those tribes men/head hunters do make my cringe alarm go off every time I see them. Definitely some outdated and no longer accepted racial humor going on there.

Peter Pan is easy. Just update the caricature exaggerated Indian scene with proper "American Indians".

But where is money coming from for all of these refurb?

Agree with all this. Peter Pan is an easy fix, and Jungle Cruise badly needs help. Our family skips it every time. Even the youngest kids in our party, who love boat rides, don’t care for it.

...Tiki Birds...
...can someone please tell me the racial overtones to this attraction? [never been, so I guess that I'm missing something...? :confused3 ]
I'm guessing some would point to the tikis themselves.

ETA: Additionally... Jose, Michael, Pierre, and Fritz are voiced in stereotypically Mexican, Irish, French, and German accents (although I would surmise that only one of those is considered offensive).
