I wish I knew it beforehand as they had online a handful, my little one size was sold out but I easily could have bought her size 4 to have it for now and later but I thought to myself it will be easy to get her size once at the parks.
Wrong.
Apparently because the Princess Sophia is not yet released - it comes out to DVD next week - but who is following right? Everyody is wathint news from Rome and Popping Pop questions so who knows, maybe that is why Disney did not released many Sophia items to go with the movie as it was the case with Rapunzel at first.. the merchandies did not come out unitll the princess was well establish deep into Christmas..
In case you are like me, big fan of Sofia and love her for being so gentle and so friendly movie for little girls and want to get her costume and stuff in the parks..
reconsider.
You won't be able to find a shread of her costume. YOu got your basic team there Cindy, Belle, Aurora, and maybe Jasmine, and Rapunzel and possibly here and there Tiana.. but don't count so much on Sofia.
You will find some little things like pens, pencils, and little plastic junk toys but
not so mcuh of a dolls or costumes. They released just a small handful of the dolls and few costumes . FEW. Turns that my local Disney store did not even get one and the manager told me that only few stores in us got few dresses like one in each size pretty much even if that.
So get prepared. Either try to shield your little one as much as you can from the idea an seeing the movie and all that so she won't be disspointed and so won't you. Or get busy and find some on second market.. You will pay dearly though as they are so rare now. My hard moment was when so many girls were walking dressed in their pretty Sofia costume and my little one asked if they are RApunzel and then one girl told her - no I am not, I am Sophia.
then next think I heard.. MOM! I want Sophia costume waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
