Hi there. I just got off the phone with a cm who said that now, if you book your airfare through Disney, that the air portion must be paid within 22 days of booking your trip. I have had this ressie since June 18 for Oct 2-7. No CM told me this when I booked, or the other 2 times I spoke with them about the ressie. Please let me know if any of you were told this. We were hoping not to have to pay it all until our 45 days out. Thanks for any input! ::MickeyMo

I'm not surprised that the airlines would want their money right away. Almost every airline is in financial trouble, especially with rising fuel prices. If you buy an airline ticket direct from the airline, you have to pay immediately.

when I added air to our pkg a couple weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised because I assumed we'd have to pay for the airline tickets immediately.

We had to pay for our airfare when we made our deposit. Our June trip was booked in February.

When I added the airfare on to our package for October last month I had to pay for the airfare when I booked it.

It is my understanding that each airline has different requirements as far as deposit and final payments are concerned. Some flights that were available to us were "non-refundable" and had to be paid for at the time of booking. I have made numerous changes to different parts of our package and as of last Thursday the CM checked with Airhelp again just to clarify and our final payment isn't due until the 45 day out date when the rest of our package is due ... so I think everyone is probably told something different based upon which airline and what their departure city is.

Yeah thats pretty good! When I use to fly, it was ALWAYS PAY NOW!!!!

I think it has to do with the type of fare they book for you...if it is a restricted/non-refundable then it is due at the the time of booking or deposit...if it is a fully refundable fare then they will let it go until 45 days out.
