I just read my morning newspaper and about jumped off the couch! We were scheduled to fly out of JFK (NYC) the morning of 10/8, but cancelled because the US starting the bombings 18 hours prior to our flight, and everything was so uncertain. When I called to cancel, I assumed we would be charged the $50 fee, as I had previously heard and read many times. In all honestly, I did not even ask the rep. about this, and she didn't offer the info. either. Well, this morning I read that Delta is allowing "...customers ticketed for travel between Sept. 11, 2001, and Jan. 6, 2002, may make changes to their travel dates with no penalties"!
"This referred to travel to and fromLaGuardia, Kennedy and Newark airports... ". I don't want to get my hopes up needlessly, has anyone else heard this or have any more details?
