New plan to save for tickets

I decided today I am going to save a dollar per person per day. So next year all I have to pay for is hotel and other vacation stuff. I should have 365 ish per person.
Whatever it takes to get you there’s! I hope it all works out for you!

This is a great idea! This is probably a dumb question, but do you just put the money in an envelope? I’d be afraid I’d spend it.

This is a great idea.

About six months I started buying a Disney gift card every week when I food shop. Adds up quick with little effort.

I really like watching my amout grow, makes me feel like my trip is closer. I now have my kids on it. My 8 year old just sold his old toys for 25$ and asked if he could attach this card to his band.

Yes, I really like this idea as well. Sometimes I find that seeing the entire amount of a vacation $$$$ and trying to save up for it can become overwhelming. By breaking it down into segments (i.e. just the tickets) it makes it seem more attainable. Park tickets are a good portion of the vacation. Then, when it comes to paying off the package the reduced amount is so much easier to pay. I am not going to Disney this year but I will do this for our food/entertainment budget for Cape Cod in the summer and San Diego in the fall. Good luck with your savings goal and have a great vacation!
