New pizza recipe?

A few weeks ago we sailed 3 nights in the dream. I hadn't sailed DCL for 2 years prior. I noticed the pizza was different....personally I really liked it this new way. Is this a new pizza recipe or am I recalling it wrong and if it is new is it fleet wide? We are sailing on the Magic in Decebpmber and I will need some of this pizza again!

I would think it has more to do with the person doing the cooking/prep of the pizza, than a new recipe. We've been on cruises where the pizza was basically cardboard, and others where it was fantastic.

I found the pizza 3 weeks ago on the fantasy to be different than what I first had on the dream in 2012. What was weird was the different crusts and how much the pizzas were cooked. The pepperoni was really thin (too thin for me) and cooked perfectly. The BBQ chicken was a thicker crust and I found it to always be a little overcooked and a little dry.

The last night I finally stacked 2 pieces of pepperoni, that worked better for me.

We are just off the Magic and the pizza was awful! They had a stack of pre-cooked crusts and were just spreading sauce and toppings on them.

That is not the way we remembered them on our last cruise... but that was 2010, so lots could have happened in between.

I'll say I've liked Pizza more on Fantasy and Dream more then Magic and Wonder.

The pizza was really good on the Wonder when we sailed the EBPC last September...no complaints. Of course maybe it was the wonderful sea air, but we got a slice almost every night and sat up on Deck 9 and enjoyed the ocean breeze and our pizza!

The pizza on the Magic in January was amazing. I'm definitely looking forward to relaxing by the pool with a drink and a slice next January.
