Do advertisers know that there are songs out there by ELO other than Mr. Blue Sky? Since that movie with the guy with the thing... that song has been in half the commercials I see.

Or Lionel Ritchie's "Hello..."

I haven't a clue what you are talking about, but i like Mr Blue Sky!![]()
does that help it make more sense?
I often get kinda reference heavy, there is a commercial for jet blue airlines that is now using that song, before that was some other commercial, and there was something before that, and Jim Carrey had a movie, something about paying to have your memories erased, the name of which escapes me... I got about 10 min into the movie and turned it off... where that song was featured in the movie and the commercial for the movie... and I am kinda a fan of the ELO (Xanadu is a horrible movie iwth an excellent soundtrack) and as of late it seems I hear that song all the time, when there are other songs by ELO that would fit better, but with the popularity of the song for no reason than it was in a Jim Carrey movie, every one is using it in their commercials.
*Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
**Kitty Carasile, Charlie Weaver, and Wayland Flowers and Madam were all characters on a game show called Hollywood squares... this is the original version from the 60's and 70's i am talking about. Gerard Depardeau is how I often refer to Kevin (the guy that does the restaurant reviews) be cause in real life he has done a few "B" movies with Whoopie Goldberg, and of course because Klose is a historic french last name that roughly translates to "gastronome" which is German for "that was delicious but it gave me gas" And as most of you know I am a lover of all things french... especially the Movie in the French land at World Showcase, where while I was taking a nap during the movie this spring, a lovely gentleman startled me awake in the middle of the movie by screaming at his son to stop bothering his sister, at which point I was awake and discovered there are really pretty hot air balloons in the middle of the France movie, as I have been in the theatre many, many times, and have slept though it many, many times.
Jean Reno plays a hit man in the movie "The Professional" which is a remake of the french movie "la professional" and since I used to be a hit man that used an absurd TV game show as my cover to assassinate Rene Auberjonois while he was working for the governor of new york... during the early 80's of course when I was married to Olivia Newton John.
does that help it make more sense?
Is anyone else trying figure the connection from ELO to Hollywood Squares?
