Over the past few months NBC the parent company of Universal Studios has been investing lots of money in there parks. With all the new things that are going to be added to the two parks in Orlando do you think they will ever build a new park. I think if they want to stay competitive with Disney “the giant across town” they will have to build a new park or they will really start to lose lots of money. I know they are building new rides but they will have to do more.

As much as they both are theme park destinations, I really don't think they compare. The vacation experience at each is different. I do love them both. I think US focuses a bit more on more of an "upscale" resort experience. There FOTL pass is unique and makes for a more relaxing vacation. Plus, US offers free bus rides to Wet & Wild plus Sea World.

I agree....the two don't compare ...and can't be. Besides, there really isn't any more room for UO to build (altho, the rumor is they will be putting Wet n Wild on property when the current lease runs out on the property it's on now). Besides, if they build another park, they will be doing what Disney (almost) probably wishes it didn't do....get SO big, they can't offer FOTL :sad2: .....and that is a HUGE draw for Universal! :goodvibes

So, I'm guessing....no...they won't build a new park...just add on to their current surrounding area and new 'lands' (like Harry ;) )

I don't think Universal will build another park...not enough land to do it.

I think that is Universal's best bet at this time. By expanding and adding on to what they already have makes more sense than to try and do a completely different 3rd park. I feel Universal has a good thing going and just needs some tweaking here and there. I think FOTL is a key selling feature of staying onsite and if they get so big and can't offer it anymore, then those 3 resorts may experience a drop off in guests, IMO.

I dont think they will add another park, but I think I remember something about them building another resort.

I don't see where a whole new park could possibly go. I can see them adding on to the current parks, but I can't see a totally new park being built.

There isn't a lot of land around the other parks.

mighty big parking garage:idea: wonder if they could build there...on top;)

the land around the park that they don't own would probably be outrageously priced (as in why DL wasn't able to expand)

think they'll go for quality (cutting edge stuff) over quantity & keep switching/retheming rides/space to keep things fresh

I know people who work for Universal and IOA when was planed it was 1 park of three new ones so i still think they have more plans.
