New owner losts of questions

I bought in about a month ago , 200 points at SSR. I have already used all of my 2005 points and borrowed 50 for 2006. I am seriously considering an add on. Since I am such a new owner am I eligible for the promo with the APs? What is the purchase price if I do add on? Is it $98 a point is it more less? Using the wonderful program that Caskbill developed I realize that if I wanted to stay at DVC all of the time I go to Disney I would have to own an enormous number of points. I am not ready to make that purchase yet but I like the idea of free APs.

I just added on 50 points last week at BWV-- (it only took a few days to get them) Our rep did try to sell us more points at SSR (where we have our original 175 points.

This is what I remember him telling us about the current promotion...

That we would get the points for $90 each (and of course no closing costs) for 50 points 4 1-day passes (but if we bought at least 130 we would get 2 AP)

I would call your rep today to confirm. The will be a price increase in July.

I believe that the promo for the free passes was only on purchases of SSR. Not sure about the price/pt since you are considered a "new member".

We did the 130 point add-on two weeks ago. The cost was $90/point, no closing and two free AP's. We figured with the free AP's that brought our cost to around $85/point.

WOW, Tomandrobin! How did they let you put so many things in your signature?

To the OP, I think DVC is the best value if you plan to use it for all your WDW trips, so I would think having enough points to cover all your WDW stays would be well worth it. If you added on 130 points you would get the two free APs and you might just have enough points too.
