We are planning our first trip to WDW with children. We have also invited some family members so there will be 7 people in our group. Originally I had planned on staying on-site, but I would love to save some money by staying off-site in a condo.

Does anyone know of any new or newly remodeled condos in the area?

Also, how feasible would it be for us to leave the park for naps, etc. and return to the park later if we are not staying on-site? (We will have our own vehicle).

Thanks!

Agree with the Windsor Hills recommendation. We've stayed twice and have come back early afternoon for a rest and returned to the parks late afternoon. It is only 5 min to AK and a little more to the rest of the parks, MK being the furtherest. WH has 2 and 3 bedroom condos, 3 br. townhouses and 4 - 6 bedroom pool homes. We stayed in townhouses both times and liked having our own splash pool and being able to park right by the door. The townhouses have one queen bedroom downstairs and master and twin bedrooms upstairs. Each bedr has it's own bathroom. There's also washers and dryers in all the homes and condos.
WH is a gated community with large community pool and clubhouse. Each home is individually owned so amenities and decor will vary. These homes are self catering meaning no maid service. All the community facilities are free for those that stay there. You can go to www.windsorhillsrent.com and see the resort and this is where the owners also advertise. There's also vrbo.com and homeaway.com for the Kissimmee area.

Bonnet Creek is also new and it's next to Disney resorts, within the maingate. They sell stays on e-bay for fairly good prices. The Pres suite is super nice, but the 2-3 bedrooms are also very nice and new.

Hi Rock,

As u said that ur's is a first visit to Disney with ur family. As we have been to Disney about 8 times and we book through springvacationrentals.com and on our last vist to disney we have booked a New 3 Bedroom Condo which is about 5 miles to disney entrance, as we were about 8 ppl and our children had a great time, the staff is co-operative and well maintained. So i think u have great time.

Thanxs,
Mike.:)

Hi,

Coral Cay is a brand new resort of townhomes with private hot-tubs with a host of community facilities. It is located in Kissimmee, off Highway 192, close to the Super Walmart - about 6 miles from Downtown Disney.

Tracey :)
