New "Official" Frozen: 2015 Frozen Summer Fun June 17 to Sept 7!

open when the park does or does it open early like BBB?

I don't know if the hours are the same everyday but when we made our apt for 9am the CM said they were the first appts of the day. I think DHS usually opens the gates a little before 9 anyway though.

Thanks! I'm still on the fence about it...

HI all! We are so excited we moved our late sept trip to Sep 3 and bought tickets for this event. a few questions:

1. From what I am reading, the dessert party is right next to the dance party? So the kids can go in and out under the rope?

2. OUr party is at 7 45. What time should we show up? If we see little mermaid at 7 20 and then head over is that ok?

3. someone remind me where we check in when we get there? It is an EMH morning that day. Can we check in at 8 am?

We are back from our 14 night trip and I wanted to give a review of our Frozen Premium package experience. Unfortunately, its not a positive review. We checked in right at 9:30am at the Dockside and selected our time for the Sing Along (5:30pm). We then were escorted to the roped off section to await the parade. Part of the section is taped off for those seated only. Since my Mom can't sit on the ground we had to split our group up. My girls went up front seated behind the rope, while my Mom and I were standing in the back. Not ideal. Every time I would walk up front to check on the girls a cast member "reminded" me that I would not be able to stand there for the parade. Okay, I get it.

Next, the treats sign advertises "sugar free" strawberry bars upon request. I requested two of them since both myself and one daughter are diabetic. The CM seemed startled that I asked for them and started digging through his cart without success. He said "Sorry, I don't have any." Try telling a 10 year old that she can only have water while everyone else is eating ice cream and drinking soda. There was no offer to check on it for us or anything. Just "sorry."

The parade was cute, but the roped off section for the party is at the very end of the parade. The characters did nothing special for the package guests.

The Sing along was cute, but the 5:30 show did not fill up. We could have gotten excellent seats via standby.

About 30 minutes prior to the Dessert party we went back to the spot we had checked in to earlier. We were told the party that night was being moved to the Indiana Jones stage. It hadn't rained all day and rain was not predicted so I have no idea why it was moved. At the appointed time, we were ushered up to the stage where the desserts were set up. It was a very hot day, and most of the desserts were just melting before our eyes. The frosting on the cupcakes was literally sliding off. The pop corn mixture was a sticky, stale mess. Nothing tasted very good to us. But, they did have the sugar free strawberry bars! And again....there was no place for my Mom to sit. We ended up taking our food to the first row of seating. The girls did think it was kind of cool to be able to walk around the stage props. After awhile we were invited to return to the roped off area in front of the stage. We only stayed for a few minutes and actually left before the fireworks. We had already seen the fireworks on an earlier night and the girls said they would rather go back and swim at Storm Along Bay. I don't know why the party was moved to Indiana Jones and how much that negatively impacted our experience. I assumed we would be able to enjoy the party while the girls participated in the dancing but that didn't happen at all. The whole thing was a giant letdown.

Overall I was very disappointed and don't feel it was worth the money at all. On the other hand, we also did the Magic Kingdom Wishes Dessert Party the week prior and I would do that one again. They had a much wider selection of desserts including cheese. And, we could SIT DOWN.

So sorry to hear this! I wonder if the heat (and it's effect on the desserts) impacted the decision to move the party inside? I would have been totally bummed too.

this makes me nervous. We have the package booked for 8/18 and I will be very disappointed if we don't get to have the dessert party near the stage. Was there any reserved area to watch the fireworks for those with the package?

Yes, there was a roped off section where we could stand for the fireworks. But honestly, we had viewed the fireworks a few days prior from about 30 steps away from the viewing area by just walking up 20 minutes before the fireworks were scheduled.

I suspect our enjoyment was seriously hampered by the fact that the party was held at Indiana Jones. Again, on the day we went, rain was not a factor although it was very hot. I would be interested in hearing from others who have had the dessert party moved and what they thought.

Our dessert party was moved but not to Indiana Jones - it was moved to Disney Jr. Live on Stage - but it was moved because of rain issues. We loved it in there - they had music pumping, the AC was on and we danced while we ate! We hung out in there before heading to the fireworks - they urged us to take stuff with us on our way out to enjoy outside as the weather had totally cleared up. We had a very positive experience with our dessert party - two years in a row!

Are the fireworks at the same time - 9:30pm - every night? That's closing time for the night we'll be there (Aug 28).

I guess I will keep my fingers crossed. If it is good we will be happy...i will try to prepare them for possible disappointment. Luckily it is our first full day so we will be excited to be there, my kids NEVER get unlimited access to desserts, and there are 9 more days of fun to be had. So hopefully any disappointment will be minor and short lived.

I believe the fireworks are earlier as it gets later in the month. Check the calendar on the disney site to be sure.

we did the premium package yesterday. It was drizzling so we were in Disney Junior for the dessert party. It was great! Nicely decorated and air conditioned with music. We ate and drank, kids danced, and then we went out for the end of the dance party and fireworks with no more rain at all!! Fireworks were absolutely amazing. We are trying to find a night to go again even knowing we will have overtired kids. So fantastic!!

Where do you get the tickets for the Frozen show?

Do you mean if you book the Premium package? At check in.

Otherwise, you can book a FP+ online at the 60 day mark for on sight guests or 30 days for off property. Standby is also an option.

Last year we were at 2 parties that got moved to Disney Jr. I loved it in there!

One of our biggest Huh? moments is that you pay more to stand right next to where we are already standing. EP has no seating either, if they even are still offering it there. I'd do an FP or the wheelchair spot was good, but I wouldn't pay to stand right next to where we can for free. Can't justify enough desserts for it. and rain is allllwwwaaays in the forecast so they almost always move it. (We got drenched yesterday, I mean swimming thru AK, but it was fine, went home and sat in the tub.)

There would be no way we would spend money on this option. I used an FP once for Singalong and won't do that again either.

But the fireworks!! So wonderful!!!

When do they start earlier? They are still at 9:45 (actual fireworks) now.

Is the FSF reserved seating better than the FP seating for the singalong?

And what time do we need to show up for the singalong with our credentials? Is there a cut off like there us with the FP return window?

TIA!

There's no FP+ seating at the singalong, a FP+ gets you a walk-through queue where you're promptly dumped into the same holding area as all the standby folks. The FP+ reservation has been rendered completely useless for the singalong.

The first three rows of the singalong are reserved for accessible seating and the premium package seats. They were great seats because you got to be so close and really see what everyone on stage is doing. But it is almost too close because the stage is so much wider than it used to be in the old theater.

Can anyone confirm when the fireworks ae actually starting with the new 9:00 time? We're doing dinner a bluezoo later this week and may watch from outside the park, but I need to figure out when we should be situated - at 9, 9:15, etc. Thanks!
