New "Official" Frozen: 2015 Frozen Summer Fun June 17 to Sept 7!

I have both the premium package and the makeover booked.

We have never done BBB because we don't care for the hairstyles. My youngest is 7 and loves Frozen, so I was thrilled when I saw that this was available --- BBB without the bun! HOORAY!

We have also booked the Pirate's League. When I mentioned the Ice Boutique DD assumed it was either/or and after much deliberation decided that she would prefer the Pirate's League.

She said "I can wear an Elsa dress, and you can braid my hair for me. I don't really need someone to turn my chair around and say 'TaDa!'"

I had been planning to let her do both, but she is SO a-ok with skipping it that I'm leaning about 85% toward canceling.

Can you see the Frozen Fireworks from Boardwalk?

If the buildings aren't blocking it. It's a decent view on the path between BWV and DHS. Just no sound pumped in. Really good viewing (again, no sound pumped in) is at the A&E topiary outside of dhs.

How important is sound? Is it like SWW where the music makes it??

It's different from SWW in that the Frozen characters come on the stage at the beginning, throughout the show, and again at end. So for full effect, you really need to be in the park where you can see the sky and the stage (either actual stage or one of the big screens projecting the stage)

Getting in line late for the dessert party doesn't matter unless you want a table of your own or care where your table is located. I can't remember if the desserts stop right at fireworks start or not?
For the SWW dessert party, they cleared the desserts out during the preshow, and they were completely gone by the time the fireworks started.

Thanks for this - broke down and purchased the package for the day we are there :)

A few questions - we will miss the 10:30 parade as we do not land in Orlando until 9:30 that morning. No reserved viewing option with the 1:30 parade I assume?

Also, where will we need to go to pick up our credentials? Any chance there will still be FSAL options available if we are checking in late? I have a FP for the 5:30 show already, but assume the package seating is better than the FP seating?

Finally, I've seen pictures of kids dancing with the characters - does this dance party take place in the hour before the fireworks start (i.e. during the dessert party)? Just trying to figure out what time we should arrive - the fireworks are scheduled at 9:00 the night we are there, so assume we could enter around 8?

Thanks so much for all the great info and reviews in this thread!

I watch it from home with and without the music. It's a BIG difference with the music sequence than without. But just playing the YouTube's along with it work alright too! As long as you can time it right. I'd say the music adds about 1/3-1/4th of the overall show. The live characters, not so much...

Question, if you are at the Fantasmic first show of the night is there time to see the fireworks? Fantasmic starts at 9 and the fireworks start at 9:30.

Is the parade the same as last year. ...time wise? We have a FP for the 930 sing a long and a 10 am FP for TSM. Would it be better to do TSM before or after the parade? We will be there labor day weekend and last year we got a great spot by the stage about 15 minutes before...not sure if that will be the case this year.

I'm just not so sure. I think from home, I can see both Fantasmic and Frozen glowing at the same time...

My personal opinion, F! is there all the time, Frozen Summer is not. I wouldn't miss the REAL fireworks, but if you came a different day or went to the later show of F!, that's up to you. (I personally wouldn't waste another moment at F! but that's just my personal opinion, so don't let it sway you...too much...) On the other hand, Frozen is good enough to watch every night...even from 20 min away... Big Beautiful Smiley Faces in the Sky! Gorgeous rainbow fireworks. I time my watch by them...They are amazing in person as well. In fact, I was half tempted to go tonight but its a silly EMH night there (ugh) and there are no more FPs. So we will go Thursday instead, and so I will watch from home again tonight and cue up my music....

Anyway, I don't think you will get thru the entire first F! and be able to see the fireworks, just because I think its both of them I see going off at the same time (the F! fireworks only happen at the end...)

Can anyone else verify that the fireworks that start at 9:45 overlap with the end of F!?

Oh yes. By late I meant not getting in line to enter the party until they start letting people in. They clear the desserts once the characters get on stage. So you need to snag food before then.

Congratulations!

Right, no reserved 1:30 viewing. I'd suggest left side of Hollywood BLVD down between Star Bucks and the sound booths, there are a few areas that are shaded, very few. If you can't find anything there, then between the sound booths and the Hyperion Theater.

There should be. But you may not get much of a choice for what's left.

I hope you have the best day ever on your arrival and package day. Unfortunately, my FSF days are done. I'm heading north in Aug and Sept once my son's musical is over. As I drove by the Universal and Disney exits tonight, I was very tempted to go see the fireworks. But I had a previous commitment and kept on driving. I have not seen the fireworks this year at all.

It's possible but not easy, I don't recommend it. If you choose to do both, as you exit F! stay to your left and hopefully they will have the exit open where you come out at the Mickey Crossroads tower. If there's no room there, cut through the stores and head over to Echo Lake. Decent viewing by the lake between H&V and 50's PTC.

Parade times are 10:30am and 1:30 pm. The sisters don't go on the stage during the parade. But the parade makes 2 stops along the route and you can see Anna and Elsa as they walk around and sing Let it Go with the rest of the parade participants. Only Olaf and Kristoff don't walk around, they stay on their floats.

Are people still permitted to watch the parade on the steps of the Hyperion theatre? I think I read somewhere that it's not permitted anymore, but I may have dreampt it! My friends are planning to do the 11:30am sing-along right after the 10:30am (with maybe a pitstop in between!), so I wondered if the Hyperion theatre stairs was a good place for the parade. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. So how long does the parade last?

I'm sure people are aware of this, but if you opt for the makeover I believe they don't do the child's hair as such. They just add a braid style attachment to it. This may or may not suit people depending on if they were hoping for a proper hairstyle.

We go next week (yeah!). But don't do the FSF until the end of our holiday - decided not to book the makeover as the girls will already have done BBB by then. I'm not keen on the bun thing either but they both would like to experience the makeover in the castle, so who am I to argue!!

I'm hearing that the weather isn't too great atm - worse than the usual afternoon thunderstorms (I know it's hurricane season). Hoping the low pressure clears soon so it gets back to 'usual' August weather - whatever that is!
