New Newsletter BIG News! New Land Coming Give a gift Late Hours On New Years & more!

well as much as I would love and EPCOT land (opening the doors to figment stuff :figment:, but I really do think it will be Toontown. Yavn had mentioned a more classic Disney room before and Toontown would open the door for that.

I do wish too that they would let us know what the gift was ahead of time too, but unless they release the red candy cane next week then I am assuming it was that. I also would like it if we had the option to let people know who sent the item to the friend, so they could let you know it was received.

Either way I am way excited for all that is to come :jumping1:

Also keep in mind that DLR is always shafted by VMK (I know it may not seem that way, but most of the time it is true). Waterpark theme? Everest theme? The whole game is geared towards WDW. The only advantages DLR has was the DLR Pumpkin and the Stitch items, two small little things when compared to the AK Lodge Room (thanks again, Days, for getting that for me).

As someone who plays VMK because of a Disneyland homesickness, it is slightly disheartening to see so much of WDW going into the game and not DLR.

I love the idea of Epcot and all, but I truly expect VMK will stay a Magic Kingdom thing and only do lands from the Magic Kingdom/ Disneyland Park. So, that would most likely mean Toontown, the last edge of the DL/MK map that is not filled in.
I don't think that DLR gets forgotten by VMK. Looking at the card list: http://vmk.disney.go.com/vmk/en_US/WhatIsVMK/index?name=VMKCardPage

You can see that WDW only items are:
Wanted poster
White Snowman
Thrill Seeker's pin
Kali Couch
Safari room

Whereas, DLR only items are:
Animaters Desk
Halloween Pumpkin
Magic Mirror
Fantasyland Quest Pin
Frontierland Quest Pin
Adventureland Quest Pin
Gold Snowman
Stitch Hat
Stitch Pin
Stitch Box
50th Pin
50th Director's Chair
50th Lantern
Gold Monster's Doors

WDW: 5
DLR: 14

DLR gets far more park only items that WDW.

Just to keep the record straight, these ARE available at WDW. I got them this past weekend and have gotten them in the past.

OK. Then the webpage with that info needs to be updated.

But that still leaves WDW with only 5 and DLR with 12. That's still 7 more items for DLR only.

Oh Yeah!! ToonTown or EPCOT Would Be So Cool!!!!!! *starts to scream like crazy* Aaaaaaiiiiiiii!!!

Oh - did it once. NEVER NEVER EVER again. Sardines does not even come CLOSE to the right word. Just in case you've never done it before: Imagine Main Street to the point that you cannot walk due to shoulder to shoulder people - then about about 1,000 more people.

The mere mention of your post to my husband made him close his eyes in an effort to erase the memory. I do have to admit, not one of my better ideas. Oh well, you have to do it once to learn to never do it again.

LOL I LOVE NYE in the parks... I've spent the last few years at Epcot on NYE, this year Mom wants to spent it at the MK.

You just have to have a totally different mindset about the parks and what you are going to see on that day.

I told everyone! It might even be a new park, since the esplanade I button explains it all.

So VMK will be open until 3 am ET? sick! lol

And yet, those five WDW exclusives all seem to trade better than the DLR ones, other than Stitch, which trades for more because you have to pay hundreds of extra dollars (paying full price rather than taking readily available discounts) booking your trip to get those cards.

I like the idea of VMK being open to celebrate New Year's on the West Coast. I wish I could stay up that late. I really want that hat!

As far as the new land, I'm a little upset about how Toon Town won the poll (because of the fact that there is the online game) but all the stuff people have mentioned about having classic Disney characters makes it more appealing. I'm partial to Epcot myself, but because of the poll my guess is that Toon Town is next.

I'd have to disagree with that as far as the Thrill Seekers Quest. When I won the extra set in Bearz' contest, I ended up not trading any of it because all of it goes for so little these days. Magic Mirrors, imo, seem to be valued about the same as Wanted Posters in the game. The White Snowman may trade for more than gold, but I don't think that comes even close to making up for the Stitch set and the Pumpkin. I know I have no prayer of getting any of that because I have no non-re-released beta and very little rare to speak of. Just would be nice for the Stitch set and pumpkin or something comparable to it to be made available to WDW as well.

Anyhow, I think the new land will hopefully be ToonTown. I'm assuming if it was something like Epcot it would be more of a separate branch of the game and not a new land.

Wow.... ........

The Gift thing.... could be interesting. One thought though, if the gifts are anonomouse, then how do we know if all of them were sent?? Wasnt there some sort of mess with it last year?

I believe the big mess was with spelling and capitalization of our friends titles.

I know I sent out about 20 gifts last year, and I only received three. :lmao:

Most of my friends forgot to capitalize the "P" in "FlyingPegasus". (They all know better now for this year! Right!?) :thumbsup2

I wonder if the gift will be the green wreath again?

I also can't wait to get some of those new chairs..... :woohoo:

Well Epcot isn't really a "land" so much as it is its own PARK, so....my money is on Toontown, which is REALLY exciting! I've been waiting for this addition for a long time, and I think a land like this on VMK has a lot of potential. We might even finally get MICKEY MOUSE as an NPC! :cool1: I love Toontown. Disneyland's version, that is.

bumping!

VMK please instate give a gift it should have at least run thru today since today is the 21st and it is Thurs!
