I just got an email from National Car Rental with an e-coupon code good for rentals picked up by 9/30/06.
$20 off a week (5 days or more) on any size car.

I combined that with a Mousavers code on National's website and got an itermediate car for a week at $124.36 including tax. :woohoo:

I love National they are at the airport (MCO) right by baggage claim.

e-coupon code - ND41

First free dinning and now a cheap car, shaping up to be a great trip for September.

Which code from mousesavers did you use? I am getting rates in the mid 200's.

I got that e-mail too, and applied it to my SUV rental. Do I need to print the coupon and bring it with me?

I used Mousavers Contract ID 5125601 plus the coupon code and got my rate for a Wed - Sunday night which is considered a week because it is 5 days.
I booked on the National site for an intermidiate size car.

I read the fine print on the coupon and it is an E-coupon, no mention of needing a print out. I got it in an email from National they send out every week for weekly specials.

I was using an Entertainment coupon for $20 off. I changed it for the e-coupon, got the same rate, but, now I don't have to worry about printing the coupon out.

Thanks!!

You used the American Express code. I don't have that card, so can't use the code. too bad, because the rate was good. I'll just have to sit and wait it out with the rest of the folks. I'm too looking for a 5 day rental. I did get the email from National last night with the coupon code.

Woo Hoo, thanks! I just applied the code to my existing reservation with success. I'm under $200 now for 9/23 - 10/1 in a mid size SUV :cool1:

Thanks again Jennib5426!

How I wish that was the case, $124 a week, I tried it, it actually goes up to $183 if you plug in dates for seven nights. It was $124 for five nights though :teeth: and the search goes on. ;) (Using the code and coupon was about $20 cheaper than anything else I have found so far)

I used the American Express Contract ID, coupon ND41 and product code WWEB and got rate of $160.93/week (before taxes). We are renting for 2 weeks so grand total is $390.04. This is from July 2nd - 16th with Intermediate car.

To all those waiting for lower rates - keep checking regularly. I added this $20 coupon yesterday, and was playing around today and the rate dropped a lot from yesterday's rate. I am using the AAA contract ID mentioned in another thread, 6100253, rate/product code says CAWK8A, and coupon ND41. Just from yesterday the rate went down $130. This is for 2 weeks for a standard SUV.

Thanks for the post!!!! I just book a intermediate for Aug. 30- Sept 4th for $124.25, greatly appreciate the info. I was dreading paying $200 or more.

Thanks Again,

It's just not happening for me...

We need an intermediate (Emerald Aisle) rental from noon on Sept 7th until 10am on the 15th...and I can't get mine below $213. I've NEVER paid more than $150 for a rental from National in September, and I don't want to start now.

I've tried 5125601, 5000304, wweb, ND41, the printable coupon, everything!

I'll keep trying...but it's frustrating to see everyone else get great rates and mine staying high!!

Thank you so much!! I just got an Intermediate for $177.17 for New Year's (December 26 - January 1)! Woohoo - this is a great price! I had a car booked through Alamo for over $300 which I'm on my way now to cancel. Thank you!!!

I'm with you, Mscott. I have been trying and trying all different codes, but my rate is way over $300 for 10 days. The only code that works is the AMEX, but I do not have the card. I may use the code and apply for the card, just to get the discount, if I can't get anything better. I travel in
Aug, so I still have some time. It's very frustrating.... :furious:

Try the Orlando MagicCard discount listed on mousesavers.com for Dollar. I got a rate of 140 for seven nights. Worked for me, and that is the current reservation I have. Well, at least until I can find something cheaper!

I think these codes may work better on existing ressies than they do for people trying to make new reservations. I could get a compact rental for Sept 9 - 16 for the same price I'm paying on a mid-sized SUV thru Alamo. The Alamo reservation was made back in Feb and even then National couldn't come close to the rates I was being quoted. This will be the 1st time in years that we don't rent with National, simply because their rates are outrageous.

Do you have a Bjs card? costco, sams?

Yes, I do. They were actually more expensive than using the Emerald Club contract ID.

Yep...same here!

My problem is that I need it for longer than a week, but not two weeks. I think our trip is eight nights.

Would there be any issues with skipping the desk and using coupons at the same time?
