New Movie Release at Sea Prior to Theater Release?

this post is meant in friendly jest and humor

:) Jest taken :)

I joined here first but sadly our cruise group never really materialized here (nor did the FE group) so I 'had' to go elsewhere and our cruise group is going strong with almost 300 members!

That being said, DISBoards is my go to place and the place where I spend more time than I care to admit! ;)

Rogue One was shown at 11pm on Thursday night (official release was the following day or 12am). They were showing the movie in the Walt Disney Theater and the Buena Vista Theater at the same time. I was worried we would need tickets as we may not get in. I asked concierge about tickets and they stated it was not a ticketed event. People were lining up right after the second nightly show. We went to concierge to get popcorn and sodas and then got in line at the Walt Disney Theater. The staff seemed surprised that people were lining up, they kept telling everyone doors won't open until 1045. People were dressed up in Star Wars stuff and were so excited. When we got our seats I was very surprised to see that only about half the theater was filled for the movie. I guess it was too late for most people. They showed the movie the next day as well.
