New Moon Discussion Thread: Spoilers Allowed!

I just saw New Moon yesterday morning the very first show of the day!

It was so amazingly beautiful, and so much better than Twilight. I loved that Chris Weitz stayed so true to the book.

The scenes where Edward would speak to Bella before doing something reckless really just gave me chills, he really had a beautiful voice.

I loved all of the wolf pack scenes. The aggression Paul had on his face when Bella hit him was really believable.

The scene where Edward was walking toward Bella at school and he just has this big smile on his face like he's the happiest man alive, was so touching. I really love their relationship.

The scene where he left her, and said he didn't want her anymore was so powerful. You could see the pain in his eyes.

The scene that I loved the best was when Bella saves Edward from walking out into the sunlight. She runs into his arms and he whispers "Heaven" and he says "Bella" in this voice that is just so full of love. His face when he says "Your alive" was just brilliant.

Robert Pattinson did an excellent job, he made up for Taylor's lackluster acting, and Kristen's stuttering in my humble opinion. (Don't flame me Taylor fans! He was certainly better than I expected to be fair.)

So... What'd you think of it?

i kinda feel the opposite. i still feel like rpatz is a little too forced. he was much better htan the first, but still a little stiff.

i felt like everyone was a vast improvement though.

i really liked the scenes with taylor and kristen. it seemed pretty...natural to me.

I also thought Kristen and Taylor had a really natural chemistry on screen. Like they are really good buds.

I loved this one a lot more than the first!

Kristen improved. And well, Taylor fits the part well.

you know, I was basically setting myself up for disappointment. But it was actually soooo much better than the first.

I still think Rob needs some work, but he improved a lot from the first. And I really loved Taylor and Kristen's scenes. They were very natural.

And I was definitely NOT a Jacob fan before. After the movie, I may have changed my mind. Not saying I wanted him to end up with Bella, but I have a newfound sympathy for him.

They really couldn't have gotton a better Jacob Black. I watched Twilight today and my mom turns to me and says "Jacob didn't seem that short or scrawny in New Moon."

He was perfect. He got taller, buff-er, but he still had that little immatureness that Jacob was suppose to have.

ok so i saw the midnight showinng but before that at 9 pm we got to watch twilight so it was good... but OMG NEW MOON WAS AMAZING WAYYYYYY BETTER THEN THE FIRST!!!!! i cried like a baby when he left and when he came back... i was in hystarics as my friend was as well... we both read the books like literally 30 or 40 times... my favorite part was when Alice said, "as soon as you put the dog out." i love alice but i expected her to have more scences then she did... Robbert did alot better in this movie then the last... Taylor did alot better then i expected... Kristen is still the same... but over all I LOVED IT!!!!

It was waaaaay better than Twilight!
Kristen Stewart improved. I just want her to smile, now!
Robert Pattinson was good, I just felt like some parts were a bit too forced?
I thought Taylor Lautner was great as Jacob. His personality and physical changes were great. I agree with whoever said his scenes with Kristen were natural.
And I loved Michael Sheen as Aro. Just thought I'd throw that in.
So, yeah. A great improvement!

Rob was way better in the first movie, in this movie he kinda sucked...not gonna lie.

My favorite part was when Taylor jumped up to "Bella's" room and they talked, ahhh gives me butterflies! I want to go see it again, but who knows when that'll happen!

i LOVED it.
Except the parts with Taylor Lautner, he just bores me.
And i HATE how everyone cheered when Jacob walks in, but I was the only one that did when Edward walked in? haha.
I went with my friend to the movie and she gets easily scared, so she told me to tell her when there were some scary scenes (i already knew when they were because I had already seen it once). Right before Taylor took his shirt off, i said "Quick cover your eyes! This is scary!" and she believed me xD
I personally hate Taylor Lautner, no offence to anybody.
But this was deff. better than twilight
My favorite part is when Bella pushes Edward out of the sunlight and the conversation they have. That was amazing <3.
I also love Edwards last line in the movie
I CAN NOT wait until Eclipse comes out

Oh and I forgot to say, I'm really mad they cut out all of Rachelle Lefvre's (Victoria's) lines because they have a new Victoria for the next movie. That really upset me.

Really I thought he did an amazing job in this movie, I thought he did an amazing job showing his emotions on his face. The pain he conveyed when he was kissing her goodbye was just amazing. I think he did a great great job.
