New merchandise announced for the 50th already and it's looking very promising...

There will be an official DL souvenir book for the anniversary. A 6 disc boxed set of DL (old tunes) music will be available. A new official park album will be done by Randy Thorton. Also, there will be a new DL souvenir DVD. I know I'll get that one when it comes out next July. Does anyone have any other new items that they know about to share with everyone here for the new celebration? Sometimes, we will miss something we would like that we don't know about because it's new.

Hmm...I do like the souvenir books. I was able to pick up the 25th anniversary book at Half Price Books last year. I was so excited!

Disneyland opened July 17, 1955, so the 50th anniversary is on that date in 2005. But to answer your question, the 50th anniversary hoo-haw starts on May 5, 2005 (05/05/05).

That's great news about the anniversary book. I still have the 25th book that I bought in 1980.
