New member with reservation questions??

Hello

My wife and I are purchasing at BLT and were wondering what the odds were of getting a one bedroom or studio there for the second week in Dec going wed 12/8/10- sunday 12/13/10. If we can't get in at BLT do you think we will have problems getting in elsewhere?

The first few weeks of December are probably the most popular DVC time. I'm not sure about BLT availability in general, but your best chances will probably end up being at SSR or OKW. You missed your home resort booking advantage just now (because May 8 was the start of the 7 month window when non BLT owners can book BLT).

If you are buying direct from Disney, I would call your guide and see if they can make the arrangments for you / pull some strings if needed. They can often do that for a new purchaser.

Yes, you really need to do this if you are buying directly from Disney and want to stay in December. Again, they might not get you exactly what you want, but they should be able to get you a vacation at a single location for your entire trip.

Guide wanted the sell so he stayed on the line with me, patched me through to MS, after he got our 2 studios at AKV, then said goodbye and let me finish the reservations. You really need to make this part of the SELL !! It worked great for us. This was last year June for reservations 10/28-11/06.

Definitely talk to your guide. We joined 3 weeks ago (haven't closed yet) and our guide just today pulled some strings and got us into a studio at BCV for 4 nights in July. Our dates weren't available through MS.

Good for you. You do know, though, that your guide won't be able to help you in the future get these tough reservations unless you buy another contract, right??

As a seasoned DVC member, now, you already know to book your stays at your home resort at 11 months out to make sure you get a reservation you like.
