Well, we finally made it. We closed this week on a resale at OKW and are hoping to get reservations either today or Monday, depending on when we are in comp. I am afraid we might have a little trouble since we want to go in May but we are going to try. My question is: we hope to go to Vero Beach for a couple of days and then on to OKW. We know nothing about Vero Beach and want to see what it is like. Could someone tell me the difference between a studio and the Deluxe Inn/oceanview rooms?? Appreciate any info that can be given. :)

I think you have a chance of ressies at OKW if you can be flexible. It might be harder to coordinate the two resort ressies, but keep trying. Sorry I can't offer an advice on VB. We haven't stayed there yet, but plan to soon.

The Inn rooms look more like a traditional hotel room (rectangular shaped). You enter a hallway area and on one side is the bathroom area, across from that is the kitchenette area (microwave, sink, fridge, coffee pot). After that there is a closet and then the room itself. The room had two queen size beds, a small table with two chairs, an armoire that contained the TV and drawers, and a bench that also contained some drawer space. There is a balcony with a table and two chairs and a great view of the ocean.

The Studio rooms are more of a triangle shape and seemed a little smaller than the Inn rooms. They have a queen size bed and a queen size sleeper sofa, everything else mentioned is the same, just in a different layout. Studios are not guaranteed ocean view, many are garden view.

I would definately go with an Inn room, you get the same ammenities with the incredible view.

Thanks so much for the info. This helps us as to know which to request as our first choice. We are so excited to get started making our first ressies!! Hopefully, we can do and say the right things as we are out of the 11 month window for all the ressies we want to make this year. I guess if we can't get all the dates we want we should get on a wait list for those days, if this correct? Thanks again. :)

I know the studio at Vb have a VCR (the only studios at DVC to have this option) - do the inn have it too?

We stayed in one of the inn rooms last year. Click below to see photo I took. The fridge/microwave etc is out of the picture on the right. The view out the balcony was great.

Thank you so much Caskbill for sharing your photo. The inn room really looks nice, especially looking out at the view. We called today, but we are still not in the comp. Hopefully we will be in Monday as we can hardly wait to try to get our ressies. Keep yur fingers crossed, I am getting nervous we won't be able to get any ressies this year after reading this board. Since we are new members, we are still trying to figure out the best way to make them. :D
