New member here! What are the chances of getting waitlisted rooms ?

We just became members of DVC last week on the Mexican Riviera cruise. We were planning a trip to WDW at Christmas, so even though I knew it was a slim chance, I called for availability for a studio from 12/25 to 12/30. They were able to give me BCV for the first 3 nights and waitlisted me for the last 2. Do you think we have a chance of getting those two nights ? They told us they would call if they become available, but I thought I would get your opinions. Thanks for helping a newbie!

There's always a chance - you never know when someone else's plans may change & free up the dates/rooms you want.

The last two nights might be tough to get, though. No way to tell how many others are on the waitlist ahead of you. New Year's Eve (and the days leading up to it) are very popular. If I were in your position, I'd have a back up plan somewhere, just in case - either at anohter DVC resort (if available) or for cash at another WDW resort.

Since you aren't planning on staying NYE, I would think there might be a chance. We will just miss you, since our trip is 12/31-1/10. Good luck and Pixie Dust for a good outcome to your waitlist!

Were you willing to stay at any of the other resorts? We have OKW booked but we are still on waitlists for BCV and BWV. We are staying 1/1-1/7 though.

My wife and I got in last year on 12/26 & 12/27. We called in September and got waitlisted for both nights.

It was a pleasant surprise!
