New Member and question

Hi I'm new,

Is there anywhere to post wanted threads? I am looking for something used that's disney related to do a write up on how to do it yourself, but rather get a broken used one instead of using my new one. I am purposely leaving out what it is til I find out if there is an appropriate forum for this. It's a disney toy.

thanks, didn't know if wanted threads were included in that. Not looking to sell or advertise anything. I just wanted to find an old broken item that I could use to do a helpful free writeup for the entire community. I will follow forum rules and go elsewhere. Thank you.

I got bored and just decided to open up mine. I am messing around with the disney monorail. My wife got us one to run around our christmas tree while we were down there for Mickey's Christmas Party last week because they had the teals on sale again.

Well I was immediately like most people who got it home and found the motor incredibly weak. As an EE, this does not suit well for me and I am not a fan of shipping it off to someone to put in a motor for me.

I was scared that the Chinese design would be wicked hard to get the motor out, but the train is actually laid out pretty nicely and easy to get to the motor. I will start a thread when I get a new motor dropped into mine.

Glad you are able to use yours! Why did I hear the sounds of Tim the Tool Man Taylor grunting "More Power" when I read that??? You sound like my husband, would love to see pictures of it around the tree when you are done.
