New Matterhorn cars being used yet?

I am trying to figure out if my kids will want to ride the Matterhorn. They both meet the height requirement, but they won't want to ride if you can't sit with one of them right in front of you. Anyone been recently that can answer my question?

as of yesterday, they were still using the old ones...

Great question. DS3 loves the Matterhorn, but there's no way he could sit by himself on that ride. Does anyone have any idea how much longer the existing bobsleds will be in use?

They won't be used for normal operations until sometime toward the end of the year if everything is on track.

We went on the ride lots at the end of May. We had our little ones 3 & 6 sitting right in front of us and they loved it. All 4 of my kids really enjoyed the ride.

I guess I missed something! So, there are going to be new Matterhorn cars? Bigger, I hope! My DH can't ride because he's TOO TALL (6'8")! Would love to hear that the new cars are bigger!

Thanks, Donalds_best_pal! DS3 will be thrilled to ride again in the meantime, and we won't have to go out of our way to trade off and sneak rides on the Matterhorn without him.

We rode the Matterhorn yesterday, and they still had the "cuddle" seats. I loved riding that way with my DD (5).
