New Magic Morning Strategy - Disneyland or DCA?

We will be visiting in mid-September and staying off-site. But we will have a 3-day park hopper ticket. Usually we use our one Magic Morning to get to Disneyland and hit Fantasyland first thing. But with the opening of Carsland and Magic Mornings being offered at DCA, I am questioning my usual plan-of-attack.

Are the Magic Mornings for DCA open to people who have a 3-day park hopper? Would you recommend using the one Magic Morning that we have for Disneyland or try doing DCA's Magic Morning instead?

Any other tips for how to re-strategize would be appreciated too! Usually we did DL Magic Morning then were in line at DCA before opening to get Soarin' Fastpasses and bee-line straight to Toy Story. Now I'm not sure how to plan!

Thanks!

We're going the end of September and will probably be getting a 4 or 5 day park hopper. We usually use early entry for something in DL, but this time I think we'll head for DCA. I think the lines will still be pretty long for Cars Land. The 3-5 day tickets all come with a MM entry.

At this point, Magic Mornings is for Disneyland early entry only. DCA early entry is reserved for Annual Passholder Early Entry (APEE) and DLR guests' Extra Magic Hour (EMH) access. There have been no indications of that changing by September.

You're right. It says specifically "Disneyland Park" on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday. That's a bummer...they really should allow both. We usually stay at one of the DLR hotels, but have never used an EE for DCA. Guess I figured it worked on both.

That's because Early Admission for DCA just started 4 days ago. They've never offered it as a perk before (to 3+ day ticket holders or onsite guests).

OP, check out the Early Admission Super Thread: http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1675403

As ValpoCory said, the 3+ day park hoppers are only coming with a MM to DL, not DCA. Sorry. :guilty:

we will be staying offsite midweek, and assuming nothing changes (DCA still isn't eligible for MM) by the time we get there, we will likely just skip our DL MM and go against the grain - hit DCA first thing on Tuesday/Thursday when both MM and EMH are for DL.

i'm guessing APEE is going to make much less difference to crowd levels already inside when we enter the park than EMH will, plus a good percentage of other offsite guests will be using their DL MM on those days.

Since we're talking about Early Entry:

On APEE days for DCA :

The APers enter at 7:00am.
Resort Guests enter at 7:30am. (The resort guests who didn't go to DL.)
The "regulars" enter at 8:00am. (DCA's regular opening time.)

The above info is from this post from another forum.

Like others, I don't have access to APEE/EMH for DCA, so I'm trying to figure out if there's much of a difference between APEE days and EMH days for DCA.

Thanks for clearing that up! :)

FYI, the Annual Passholder Early Entry (APEE) is currently scheduled for June 18 to September 13.

DCA isn't currently scheduled to have APEE (on Sat-Sun-Tu-Th) at the end of September.

So APers and those with either MM or EMH will get in at the same time?

As of right now, after APEE ends, there will be no form of Early Admission for DCA on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday or Sunday. Everyone, no matter what type of ticket or where you're staying, will be let in at official park opening. Actually they'll probably have a rope drop, so they'll let in everyone a few min before park opening but only on BVS.

But we're too far out to know how Disney is going to handle Early Admission options or opening procedures after this summer.

APEE and EMH/MM all get in at the same time to opposite parks. This summer.

As long as APEE goes (until Sept for now) then APEE will be at the opposite park as the EMH/MM. And there is no official MM for DCA. Only EMH.
