I had lunch last week at the Naples restauraunt at Downtown Disney Anaheim. It is operated by the same gruop that will be taking over Alfredos. It was fantastic! I have high hopes for the new Italy restaurant based on what I had last week.

Not clear on that point. Here is the information in the link.

The L'Originale Alfred di Roma Ristorante is scheduled to close on August 31, 2007.

Starting September 1, 2007, this location will become part of the Patina Restaurant Group. Noted for their "Naples" restaurant in Disneyland, the Epcot venue will feature the cuisine of Master Chef Joachim Splichal.

A flagship restaurant is expected to open at this location in the Fall of 2008. During part of this transition, it will reopen as 'Tutto Italia'. It will participate in the Magic Your Way Dining plan.

Alfredo's does offer the Disney Dining Experience 20% discount - Holidays excluded. It is not yet known if the Patina restaurant will participate in DDE
