The only reason they are cheaper now is that everyone started buying the cheap ones that aren't made by Apple, so they lowered the price to get more people to buy ipods.

This probably isn't true as to why Apple lowered prices. Prices in technology always go down after they've been out for awhile. Plus Apple still owns the majority percentage in the mp3 market.
