New Info on package prices....effect today!

imagine my surprise... i was able to get it quoted as a room/dining package w/out tickets too!

here's my "summary" (with random dates and travelers)

Check In: June 01, 2008
Check Out: June 06, 2008
Staying for: 5 nights, 6 days

Adults: 2
Children: 0

Room Type: Preferred Room
Tickets: None
Package: Deluxe Dining

but it is definitely a "package" which follows the pay-in-full by 45 days in advance...

I just called. The CM said the only way to add dining to my room only reservation was to switch it to a package and buy tickets.

I also tired to book it on line, but it wouldn't work.

I just tried online and I couldn't do room + dining. I HAD to buy tickets. What is going on?

I just tried to book it online, as well. I thought it was going to work, until it got to the part where you put your name in...and it asked for a Passholder ID, which I don't have. Bummer!

How are you booking. I do have a passholder ID and I can't even get it to offer dining until I add tickets.

UGH!! I feel so stupid this is valid but your travel dates have to fall in line with the current AP rate that is out 3/30-5/21 at least online, who knows if you call.

I don't know what would happen if you called but the only way I can get it to work is if I book online through the passholder site and then only if I try to book within the dates of the current passholder room offer. If I try to book outside of those dates it doesn't even give dining as an option until I add tickets.

Hi everyone.

There seems to be a lot of confusion here. Thus far, the DDP rates without buying a ticket, is only good for AP holders. Right now, there are 2 promotions going on for AP holders. One is for room only and the other is a package. The package is being called: "Annual Passholder Spring Package with Dining." Both promotions are only good for the following dates: 3/30/08-5/21/08.

I know you can call Disney and book even if don't have an AP and I've also heard there's a way to do this on the website. Be warned that once you arrive to check-in you will need to show your valid AP. If you don't have one, they will charge you the rack rate, including 1 base ticket.

Hopefully there will be general public promotions and packages coming out very soon. (Besides the ticket upgrade and Visa promotions out right now.) The codes & Rates Forum here on the DIS is a great place to pick up some additional information.
