New Infant seat

Our new Infant/Child Seat is available on all Virgin Atlantic aircraft and is suitable for newborn babies, infants and children up to a maximum weight of 44lbs (20kg) or a maximum height of 40in (100cm). The Infant/Child Seat is available for use in all cabins.

Compared to the old seat this one looks million times better, wasnt looking forward to ths yrs filght as thought my DS (taz-devil) was to old for the old Infant chair But this one will still be fine for him "phew"

It does look better than the old chair. However, unless it is fitted in a different position that isn't shown, I would not put a newborn baby in it - it's far too upright.

It goes more by weight than age, we've used for both our kids and even tho my DS is now 3 he is under 40Kg thank god, with him you need the 5 point harness lol

We had the old type a year ago when DD was 19m but we didn't bother when we went last October when she was 25m. We put both girls in the two "middle" seats of four and just let them play and watch TV together - DH and I took both aisle seats. They both behaved well having more freedom and space. We took them for walk when they needed to have a stretch and a toilet break.
You can always request it and try it but if you're happy with through the flight I'm sure they will un-install it for you.
