New Improved Higher Prices At San Angel

Food and service are still excellent, but be prepared to spend more $$$ than you've been accustomed to at SA Inn. Two changes to the lunch menu: Caesar Salad with grilled chicken is gone and Dos Equis lager is no longer on tap, it's been replaced with Corona Light (Budweiser of the South). Con provecho mi Amigos!

We have dinner ADR here in Sept.. If FD comes out with regular DDP ill use that if its QS Ill be paying OOP for this n our anniversary night BUT you cant beat the ambiance and the STRONG drinks! LOL

We went for Dinner in January and the food was fine but the service left a bad taste in our mouths. We arrived at around 5pm for a 5:30pm ADR and they said it was not problem to seat early, the restaurant was empty, literally 2 other tables. But they sat us at the very back. So I asked to me move to the water or at least closer and they did kind of begrudgingly. Which is fine but I don't understand their seating choice given that the restaurant was still only a 1/3 full when we left at 6:30ish but most of the seats near the water were left empty and seats at the very back along the wall closest to the washrooms (no view)were full. Weird, and the server was rude and non attentive More than just not friendly. Too bad because the food was Ok but we won't be anxious to return.

I will say they are funny about those seats near the water! We experienced this on our honeymoon the hostess got down right nasty with DH over it! I mean I understand they probably get sick of the requests, Im sure EVERYONE that comes wants a table by the water!lol

We experienced this as well last week. The manager spoke pretty harshly to me when we asked about a water seat. We ended up opting to go elsewhere because the way he spoke to me really rubbed me the wrong way.

Oh great I'm concerned about our 5yr anniversary dinner here now in Sept. after the honeymoon fiasco I really had to talk DH into trying it again...

We haven't been in years but were very disappointed with service on our last visit. Rude and uninterested waiters.
