New idea! How about an entry line just for strollers?

After waiting hours (exaggeration) for strollers to enter the parks, how about a seperate line just for them? Then others who aren't bogged down by them can enter the parks quicker.

 My little dancing banana agrees

Because then all the stroller people would be complaining that they have to wait in a special line while everyone else can use the other turnstiles.

Please don't flame me but why do you think it takes longer for a stroller? Instead of going through the turn style you go through a gate which in peak times are already open, for the most part.

I would think that after someone has done it once it should not take any longer. Have your tickets ready, line the stroller up with the gate, put your tickets through and push the stroller through?

I agree. When I was pushing the stroller, I usually had to wait on the other side of the gate with the kiddos while dh was still having his finger scanned, bloodwork done, urine test, etc...LOL....just kidding;)

I think you hit the nail right on the head Safetymom!

You're talking about WDW where they can't get people to stop smoking in the parks where ever they wish, not reuse refillable mugs and pool hopping, - just to name a few... do you really think that's such a good idea??

Every time I have been behind someone with a stroller it took extra time for them to either find their tickets, get the kids through the gate, each adult had to do the finger scan, etc. When it is spread out amongst the turnstiles it isn't bad but if it was in only one turnstile even the stroller people would be complaining.

My only issue with strollers is not the stroller but the user...I can't stand trying to get through bag check when you are behind those parents that don't understand that the stroller is not a rolling suitcase it is a place for their child to sit. You know the ones with the cadillac of all strollers (A/C, power steering, etc...sarcasim of course) and the stroller is filled with everything they could possibly bring from home...child walking next to it because there is no more room for them. Those people always take forever because security has to go through everything and they never seem to help make it easier. Those are the same people that will complain that they don't want to leave the stroller outside a ride because someone might steal it... Get an umbrella stroller and use it for the child...

Sorry tangent... I feel better now :) Of course my whole out look on this might change in o' say about 4 months when my little princess is chucked out of the stroller for my shopping bags ;) j/k

Does each adult not have to do the finger scan when they don't have a stroller with them? :teeth:

I don't think they need special stroller lines, (with so many strollers in the parks, they'd need a lot of "stroller lines" to make it equitable). They just need the ticket reader/finger scanners closer to the gate entries. The fact that the gates are a couple of steps away from the nearest ticket reader is what slowed me down. If I kept the stroller with me as I waited my turn to insert my ticket, I'd have to back up a bit again to maneuver over to the gate. If I tried to enter more quickly by steering the stoller towards the gate instead of the turnstyle, the people behind me would assume that I was done (or that I didn't need to insert my ticket and do the finger scan :confused3) and try to cut in front of me, so I stopped doing that.

Until they put ticket readers within easy reach of the gates, I'd recommend doing what I do at the grocery store. Quickly scan each line not only for length, but for fullness of cart/amount of strollers, and pick the line that looks like it will move the quickest.

Oh, and :rotfl2: CDSTapisRouge.

I think you need to take a deep breath, relax, and look around you. It's magical! The parks are for everyone, especially children. Remember to enjoy it instead of trying to shove yourself in the front of the line.

Stroller pushers are poeple too <pout> :guilty:

Trust me, you'd rather have them in the stroller than running around like banshees!!!!!

Can't we all just get along??

:cheer2: 11 days!!

I second this :grouphug: :thewave:

if you need a seperate line for strollers then you might as well segregate out the "slow pokes", "idiots", "road (eh line) ragers", etc....

See? I knew this would generate more good ideas! I agree with lilygator and lark, have an idiots line and a no kids day. :flower: Imagine how nice that would be: no screaming, crying, tantrums, pushy parents. :lovestruc Thanks for sharing! Now we just need to let Disney know. :sunny:
