New Home Resort or Stay with AKV

Right now would probably be resale. We also like CCV and BLV and mayyyybe beach club.
CCV and BLT are good options on resale. BLT has been crazy cheap recently IMO. CCV has the nicer pools, though, if that matters for kids. BCV expires in about 16 years. But I'd get a second resort. The largest number of new improvements (lands/rides) are scheduled for Magic Kingdom. So I'd go with something close there.

we stay 2 weeks for our yearly trip - We book 2 bedroom units. Last year I missed my 8 month booking window and scrambled to put our trip together. I missed my window by one day this year - and I am again scrambling for one day in the middle of the stay. - Gosh darn it has to be the walkers.....

I’ve seen people mention walkers or being walking a reservation, what does that mean?

It refers to people who book a reservation prior to their actual desired dates and continue to modify that reservation a day to a few days at a time until they reach their desired date.

For example, lets say you own Boardwalk and you want a standard room in October during Food and Wine. Walking it would be if you booked it during a less popular time say during July / August and you continue to modify the dates of your July reservation a few days at a time every few days until you reach October and ta da! You now have a room at Boardwalk during Food and Wine.

You mean 7 month?

Probably depends on UY, but I think average resale prices for BLT have generally been trending higher than CCV, despite CCV having 8 more years on its contract over BLT.
BLT higher than CCV?? I definitely have not seen that.

I haven’t seen that either but I have seen a slight uptick in BLT recently.

CCV has seemed stable to me but definitely down lower than it has been in the past.

For the past couple of months, other than a few point categories on Fidelity, I’d say BLT has been averaging higher on those two reports than CCV. Site sponsor doesn’t break it down by contract size and both of the last couple of months have BLT higher than CCV. BCV actually had a higher average than CCV in September.

Of course, maybe some or all of that is explained by differing inventory levels. We’ll have to see whether prior trends return as more contracts hit the market.
