Hi everyone! My fiance (DFi) and I just booked our first trip to WDW! :cloud9:
DF went to WDW a few times as a teen, and I went once as a teen but don't remember the trip. For this trip it will be just he and I because our son (DS) is only 4 months old. Anyway, we are staying at PoP for 6 nights, and have reservations for breakfast at Ohana and breakfast at the Tusker House. Also, we are interested in trying to buy some pins ahead of time so we can trade at WDW; I would greatly appreciate any advice in that arena!

Dont stress about buying pins ahead of time. There are tons of places to buy them at the resorts and the parks. Have a great time !!!

You are going to have so much fun! Just remember to just take your time sometimes and see the extra things Disney does! It's impossible to do everything in one trip! Just enjoy! And about the pins- there are tons of places to buy and trade! I've just started to get into pin trading/collecting, it's addicting! :rotfl:

Thanks everyone! We just rescheduled our trip to the first week of December. Anyone have special tips for going during that time of year? I'm so excited!

First of all...:welcome:

DH and I went the first week of December in 2010 and enjoyed it very much. The crowd level was pretty good (2s to 5s), but a cold spell hit and we had to buy some warmer things since the forecast said it would be in the 70s every day. Pack for both warm and cold and you should be good.

You will love the Christmas decorations!! They are awesome! Take some time to go to the Grand Floridian to see the huge gingerbread house they construct in the lobby there as well as the beautiful decorations. All the resorts decorate, so if you have time to resort hop, it's pretty cool. But since this will be your first trip together, getting lots done at the parks will be your top priority I'm sure. You may want to look into doing the MVMCP. It's pretty fun and the rides have almost no wait that early in the season. Also, the Keys to the Kingdom tour is a fun tour where you learn a lot about the Magic Kingdom. Whatever you do, it will be loads of fun since you'll be enjoying it together. Have fun planning!:santa:

Thanks!! Can you access the Grand Floridian via the Disney buses? We probably won't get a rental car. How soon can we get MVMCP tickets?
