Hi, I'm new here and just wanted to introduce myself. I'm Jenn, mommy to 2 gorgeous little girls- 5 and 2. We are taking our first Disney vacation over Easter (yes, I know it's busy LOL) Dh is a teacher and we have one in kindergarten, so, there isn't a lot of choices left for us.... Anyways, we are arriving on 4/15 and leaving on 4/20, so I am looking at everything for all the help we can get. I've been to WDW twice, back in 94 and 96 (as a teenager) and dh was there as a child, so this is our first "grown up" Disney trip and I am such a planner and want everything to go perfect! I've got the DP and have already got my ADR's.... Anything else I should do? Thanks for all your help!

make sure you understand Fastpass....

then use it. Also remember since you are going at such a busy, busy time most of the fastpasses will be gone before 10 am.

so arrive early.....decide which ride you have to do and go get fast passes for it immediately.... (if you can't get on then) pixiedust:

We are going to be at MK on Easter Sunday (probably the worst choice, but I wanted to let the girls have Easter dinner with a character dinner- so we have 7pm ADRS at LTT and it is our first official day there...) Anyways, we will be staying at FW, so we were planning on using EMH that morning. How feasible would it be to hit Space Mountain with the EMH and then if we have more time, some of the other rides around it, and then when the park opens, go to Splash Mountain/Big Thunder Railroad... and hoping to hit POTC in the am as well... .Are we overhoping, or do you think this is something we could do (using the fast pass for one of the above....) The rest of the rides, we are hoping to ride, but we will be at MK again on Wednesday, so I figure, what doesn't get rode on Sunday, can be done on Wed (but the am won't be as easy then, as we have a 9 am ADR for the Cinderella breakfast)

Sorry about that... that was me... Didn't realize my computer logged me out.

on that Sunday you have extra hours both early and late....

so the 16th has early and then it is open 3 hours after the park closes...

since the opening is at 8am you need to get there around 6:30am (yes I know horrible early)

it closes at midnight....so you could stay until 3 am....

it looks for every day you are there the MK will open early for WDW resort guest.

Since it is open so late - I would be tempted to leave when it gets really crowded and come back that night - probably around 5 or 5:30 not later - because the buses could take up to 45 minutes to get you back. (it shouldn't but be on the safe side).

here the schedule

Hi Jenn, Welcome. I'm pretty new here myself.

The best advice I can give you is not to make yourself crazy. Get into a park early enough and you have all day to enjoy. If you go to MK, try to do futureworld first, because the crowds tend to head that way and it gets packed later on in the day.

Animal Kingdom - Safari ride first. It is worth it!

MGM - Try and do Great Movie Ride, Star Tours and (if you like them) Rock n' Roll rollercoaster and Tower of Terror.

EPCOT - Soaring, Test Track and (if you can handle it) Mission Space. First rides to fill up. Everything else moves pretty well.

Unfortunately that it a very crowded week (I'm a teacher too) so be prepared to wait and enjoy the pool at the hotel if it gets to be too much. Have fun whatever you do you're coming to WDW. :welcome:

Hi - and welcome to the boards.

My suggestion is really try and have fun. Dont get to caught up in taking to many pics or videos of things. Try and eat at 1 or 2 nice restaurants if possible. Counter service gets old very fast. :)

Thank you all so much for the help. When I went back in 94 and 96, it was during Easter break as well, and I don't remember it being so busy that we couldn't do anything (of course I was a teenager with all of my friends, so maybe we didn't care about the wait in lines...... LOL) I will keep in mind to possibly head out of the park in the afternoon, but still not sure if we will do it on Sunday or not... I'm worried about the park getting to capacity and us not being able to get back in for our ressies at LTT.... But we will see... depends on how we are doing....
