New here we just found out my son will be granted a wish

I just found this board while researching Make A Wish. A friend had nominated my son for Make A Wish. We received the call this afternoon he was approved. It is with mixed emotions that we accepted it. My son Trevor is 6 and has a congenital heart defect pulmonary atresia. He has had 6 surgeries so far and we are waiting his next one for a pulmonary valve. He has been doing great lately so I did not think he would qualify. It was hard hearing the news again. On top of that yesterday we found out my FiL has cancer, so I was already emotionally drained. We will be getting the call from the volunteers next week. I am sure Trev will pick Disney as he is consumed by Star Wars and is always saying how he wants to go to Disney and be a Jedi in training. His other love is Legos. Even his you ger sisters love Star Wars and Legos!

I have enjoyed reading e everyones stories and picking up tips.

Welcome aboard! Congratulations on your son's wish trip. I hope he picks Disney I think that program is amazing and any kid with 6 heart surgeries should surely go to Disneyworld! I'm sorry for your bad news. I know you will get a lot of great information here and hope that your trip will be magical.

Thanks Tracey! We have talked to Trev a little about it and he's aid he wishes his sisters could have wishes too! He also said he wanted to go to DisneyWorld and. Be a Jedi in training as well as go to Lego Land and go on a Lego shopping spree! He has time to think about it as we have not had anyone come to the house yet. I am sure it will be either DW or Lego Land or maybe both. It is so overwhelming right now. I love reading everyone's magical stories!
