Hello,
I'm getting married next week, but we plan to hold a "real" wedding ceremony next year for our first anniversary. I've been to Disney World and stayed at the Boardwalk Resort before and LOVED IT!!! That is where I'd love to hold the ceremony next year, at the Gazebo off the lake. I was thinking of kinda having a Hawaiian theme to the wedding, like lai anklets for myself and bridesmaids and not sure what to do for the groom and groomsmen. LOL

We will be paying this ourselves, but don't have a lot of money to put into it, so any ideas/advice would be wonderful. This is our second marriage each and want it to be really special, yet also a family vacation for our children.

well you've come to the right place, the people on here are great, you can find out everything you need to know. i got married in disney last month and from what youve posted, i'd suggest you look into the intimate vow renewal package. it includes the ceremony itself and a cake cutting reception. if you want to go bigger, then you could go custom. for more info look at www.disneyweddings.com they have a wish book feature where you can get ideas on budget and options. the wedding locations are gorgeous (i chose the wedding pavilion for my wedding), and disney fairy tale weddings department are the ultimate in professionalism. you can book your ceremony date a year in advance, so get deciding, especially if youve got a specific date in mind.
hope you all the best for your wedding next week, enjoy every second, it goes too quick!! hope you all the best in planning your dream vow renewal!!!
and welcome to the board

Hi Endofighter!!

Welcome to the DIS and to planning your Disney wedding!

Your plans sound like a combination of what I originally wanted...and what I ended up doing!!

First, I had planned to do my disney wedding at Sunset Pointe at the Poly and do a Hawaiian theme. There are some AMAZING apparel options for the whole bridal party (or just you and your DH2B), check out these sites:

Because of planned rehab at the Poly when I planned to be there, we ended up getting married at Sea Breeze Point (the gazebo by the Boardwalk). And we LOVED IT!!!! I ended up NOT doing the Hawaiian theme, but just something simple and kinda casual...and we were so very happy with the way it turned out!

Here's a link to my photobucket pics:

The last few pics are of our wedding at Sea Breeze Point...and there are some shots around the Boardwalk ('cause that's where we stayed!).

You have definitely come to the right place for lots of info and suggestions!!!

Good luck planning...and keep us posted on how it's going! We past Disney brides live vicariously through all of you who are still planning!!!

oh...and p.s. where are you in Virginia? I'm in Hampton!

Thank you for the links!! I think I found my wedding dress!!! LOL Your pictures are sooo pretty. I'm so excited I can't wait!!!!

Oh and I'm in Fredericksburg. :)
