I am really bummed out b/c I almost booked Spring Break of 2006 for $4500 ( I didn't have to pay alot for my youngest who'd be 2 at the time). But that was around holiday time and I just got too busy to follow through. Well, when I called back a couple of weeks ago, it went up to $5500. DH said that was too much. I'm just kicking myself now b/c I really wanted to cruise. It was supposed to be our 10th anniversary celebration.

For those veteran cruisers out there, am I being unrealistic to hope that I can cruise during Spring Break of 2007 for a family of five for less than $5000?
DH says we can't afford more than that. And b/c of kids, we can not travel outside of Spring Break, Summer and Holidays.

Anyone know when the 2007 cruise prices come out? I checked the website and it's not there yet.

I'm pretty sure Spring break 2006 became available around Spetember 2004. Stay on these boards and someone will post when it happens.

Keep your chin up and start saving now for 2007. Reservations will be available before you know it.

Did you try different travel agencies? They MAY have cabins available at a lower rate since the book cabins in groups. Try http://www.dreamsunlimited.com They are really good at finding good rates. If they don't have any, there are quite a few reputable companies on the web you can get a quote from. Good Luck!

Maybe with the extra year to save you will be able to afford more $ if it turns out to be more expensive than you are hoping. We're also planning on a 2007 cruise. It's torture waiting for it, though! We're thinking of August, so we'll have enough time to also go to WDW for a few days. Also, I'm assuming that WDW spring break crowds are worse than mid-late August crowds. We'll be celebrating our 25th anniversary that summer, but can do our celebrating any time that year, as far as I'm concerned.

The only caution that I have is we booked in the beginning of October of 2003 for the first week of April 2005 for a family of 4, 7 night in a Cat 10 and it was 3074.00 through Sam's which was a little over $300 less than Disney and the prices were just released the month before. I looked into another Spring break cruise for 2006 last year in September when the prices came out and for the same cruise and other things being the same, it was going to be almost $1000 more. I don't know what Sam's or other agents would have quoted, but I was comparing what the Disney site was quoting versus what the quote was from them back when I booked. I'm afraid there could be substantial prices differences from year to year all other things being equal. Then again they could get better, but be prepared for both! HTH

Would you consider a 4 night instead of a 7? That is what we are doing for spring break in 2006. That way we can fly in on Saturday, board the ship on Sunday, disembark on Thursday and head to WDW, stay at WDW until Saturday and fly home (with Sunday as a day to rest up before going back to school).

The prices haven't jumped up as much on the 4 night cruises as they have for the 7 night ones.

Have you checked out the prices for the August cruises yet? Those late month cruises tend to be less since some school go back the first week.

We are also booking a cruise in 2007. I was told to start calling DCL as early as August for pricing and itineraries, and that they should be out then or no later than September.

Book early for the best deal...and check around at diffrent TA's..they may just have some rooms blocked...you never know...

Good luck

Submit a request to www.cruisequick.com for the saling you are interested in. With their discount, it might be about the same you had expected to pay.

I remember it was the LAST week of September 2004 that the 2006 dates came out. Of course they could come out earlier this year, but we had just gotten back from the Hurricane Jeanne 7 Night Eastern Cruise, so that is how I remember. While onboard they didn't have the dates, but they came out a few days after we got back.

Thank you everyone. I will keep make a note in my palm to check in September. As for 2006, maybe I can still salvage my plans. I like the idea of 4 nts cruise. I'll have to go back and check with all the places again. I did check with dreams unlimited, small world vacations, all seas travel but Costco had the best prices. So I'll start with Costco for the 4 nights. I'm starting to feel excited again. If I could cruise two years in a row, I'd love it!
