OK everyone so I was reading today that Disney has announced the making of a hard ticket Pirate & Princess Party. Of course the dates fall surrounding my wedding. I picked my month becuase it was College spring break and not normally very busy.....I'm thinking this will up the crowds....It won't necessairly ruin my wedding however my guests are slow at making reservations and I'm afarid that they won't get any rooms!
I guess I'll have to make a news letter announcing that rooms are going fast and they need to get a move on!! (I'll use different words of course! lol)

However I am exctied as this is an event I would like to see....Soo it is good news and Bad news!

Thanks for listning to my rant!

I wouldn't worry about it too much. I doubt that they'll bring in that many more people. The parties don't allow many more guests into them. A lot of parties also go unsold, and since they are only 6 months away a lot of people won't be able to afford to just hit the road.

If you have a custom, before you signed your contract, you specified how many rooms from what hotel you will need, these rooms were put on hold. Meaning, if your guests go through your wedding for the rooms, they should be fine. Your SM should add a cushion to that number, so instead of 25 they'll hold 30-35. Hope this helps!!

Nikki, just ask your event manager how many rooms are in your room block. They usually block more rooms than you're required to fill so there is a little cushion. Plus, though special parties do draw some extra crowds to WDW, they really probably won't impact park attendance much at all. Disney World holds so many people that it can absorb crowds nicely. During my wedding there were many special events (Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party, Osborne Lights, Candlelight Processional, etc.), and crowds were still pretty light. Plus, maybe you and your new DH can go to the party!
